That moment when Susanoo cut off the dragon’s heads. Did it remind anyone else of Itachi cutting off all of the snake heads from Orochimaru’s snake form? To seal Orochimaru, Itachi also used the Totsuka blade.
The dragon is called OROCHI!
Yep ORICHImaru
@@junreylimnavales3197 holy shot, Mar in Persian means snake, orochi snake
The fight was definitely based on this. Also Black Zetsu says that the totsuka blade seals you into an "eternal drunkenness" much like the dragon at the beginning of the fight. Also, the sword that Susanoo pulls from it and gifts to Amaterasu is called the sword of Kusanagi... the name of Sasuke's sword.

Kishimoto really is a genius incorporating Japanese mythology into his creation
He’s literally Japanese…? This is like calling American comic book artists geniuses for incorporating basic American history into their comics… not saying Kishimoto and Naruto aren’t both great but this ain’t a good reason.
@@jinx5673 Brotha, what is your argument rn?😂 Him being Japanese has nothing to do with the way he put Japanese mythology in his Anime/Manga. A non-Japanese person could've put Japanese mythology in their creation and I'll still see it as something very impressive nonetheless
@@mrzetsu4893 Because it's already part of his culture and upbringing? Also, he did the BARE minimum only using names. All he did was name 3 things after a few gods and suddenly he's a genius? I can write 3 sentences and name a power/item/thing after some greek gods with nothing else added from the myths, would that make me a genius too?
@@mrzetsu4893 Agree with Jinx. It's not a big deal to use your own mythology in a creation of a story. It's even less impressive when you already saw some older anime that already have used all of that. Half the things I see in naruto I've already seen in dbz for example, even basic things such as Ino-Shika-Cho names were used in anime before naruto.

You left out a key bit about the story of Kagosuchi's birth. Izanagi was so enraged that this child's birth had caused the death of his wife, that he took his weapon and chopped Kagosuchi into pieces, and those pieces fell to Earth and became the volcanoes that Japan has today.

"The Uchihas were right." -Tobirama
I've always liked the stories of myths about gods and goddesses around the world. It's so fascinating to learn that our world was created by these beings with human like personalities. Imagine all that drama just to explain the origins of a place or an event, like how winter started: Amaterasu got depressed and locked herself in a cave, taking all the warmth and the light in the world with her. Fortunately, she had god friends to cheer her up and helped her realize how valuable she really is. And all that took her was to see her own reflection through a mirror.
I wished Amaterasu tried to understand his brother Tsukuyomi first. He just acted out of reflex upon seeing something so nasty. But then, if she had not banished him, there wouldn't be a beautiful moon in the evening sky and there wouldn't be different kinds of vegetables growing from the earth. 😅
Also, I wonder who are the descendants of Susanoo in modern Japan.
This makes NARUTO even more significant and real. Kishimoto truly did his research. This is what makes the manga SOOOO AMAZING. How it incorporates Japanese culture.
Incorporating japanese culture in a japanese comic book makes hin a genius? I guess incorporating european cultire in european stuff would make an european a genius then, right?
@@Noctosphere Lol.... So Japanese think we're evolved monkeys from outer space. Dragon Ball nailed it. C'mon man. Nice try though. Pay better attention little one.
Using this logic, then does that mean that me incorporating Chainsaw Man and Jujutsu Kaisen Elements into my story makes me a Genius Writer?
Edit: this is clearly just another way of saying copying another source material but in a much higher scale because it's done on Ancient Religions
So here's where the Uchiha Clan got the names for their Mangekyō Sharingan techniques.

They skipped Kagutsuchi beyond killing his mom with his fiery birth. His father Izanagi, in his grief, beheaded Kagu-tsuchi with his sword, Ame no Ohabari, and cut his body into eight pieces, which became eight volcanoes. Kagutsuchi’s corpse created numerous deities, which typically includes Watatsumi, Kuraokami, Takemikazuchi, Futsunushi, Amatsumikaboshi, and Ōyamatsumi. Watatsumi and Kuraokami are Dragon Gods, and Ama-tsu-mika-boshi ("Dread Star of Heaven", "August Star of Heaven"), is a malevolent Shinto god. (sometimes considered a Devil Figure)

Sure, you could make him your puppet, as with the Shoguns, but you must *NEVER* him. For, as direct descendants of Amaterasu, overthrowing the Emperor would be considered an affront to the entire Japanese pantheon.
