- This is truly insane! We brought Tyler's 2003 Mustang Mach 1 to Maaco for a $1,000 paint job and wow! For $1,000 this thing turned out amazing! This is a DIY / Budget Build and this paint job really brought this Mach 1 back to life!

Where is that place at a paint job for 1000 I need mine done I want mine to be done as a black out
I had old truck maaco screwed it looked good first day 2 days later it faded in spots went to different place said didn’t even have clear on it
grey would have been so clean but at least it has fresh paint
You should reach out to its just a 6 about taking your channel to the next level
Dupicolor satin black trim paint works fantastic. I restored cars for a living and you will be shocked how perfect that paint lays down. And extremely durable. Just make sure its not humid out if painting outside.
Maaco has some really talented painters, they just dont give them a lot of paint, or a lot of time. Some of those guys are required to get through 5-6 cars in a few hours and might only get a gallon or two of paint to make work per car. They are the fast food paint shop. But every now and again, a guy gets to really show off what he can do with a sprayer.
Nothing wrong in maaco as long as the sprayer and body man takes pride in there work

That Mustang looks fantastic! Maaco did a great job! I just got my car back from Maaco a couple days ago. I got the paint job that cost around $1k as well. I'm very impressed. I have heard it's a hit and miss with Maaco, because they are franchises. But like your Maaco, ours has a very good Paint Technician as well. Technique makes all the difference in the world. Someone who knows what they are doing can make a paint job look like a million bucks! Very nice car, and a very nice paint job! Thanks for sharing!
the mach 1 looks amazing, i wish my dad still had his 1969 mach 1 mustang. It got stolen after 2 days of owning it in the 80s. he currently owns 2 1969 camaros though

Had a 65 fastback that was fully built back in the 90’s. It got stolen more than once…..3times to be exact, luckily out of all 3 times the only damage was a rip in the headliner from the tweaker throwing his bike in the back seat…….needless to say my father took that car from me and sold it cause I was fucking up in school…… lesson here kids…stay in school and do right by your parents

For every good one there's quite a few bad ones. Just spent 1,900 on light surface rust removal around my sunroof and base/clear for my g35 coupe. Got the car back and it had terrible orange peel, specks all over every panel, sanding marks on my windshield. Needless to say I wasn't pleased.
It seems like every year when its time for my 03 Mach's inspection I get 03/04 Mach 1 content. Here's to another year on the road.

I worked in many body shops in my younger days taping & sanding cars. It was hard work but paid well as a young man I was shaking down some very good cash. With that being said, I took a job for a Maaco on my hometown and I will tell you, they had high standards and really gave the people a great deal that was hard to beat. The problem lays where the personnel changes hands , every Maaco is different besides the prices, one year you may have all great guys, knocking the work out with little or no complaints, go back a yr later,, different people, and its a nightmare. So I suggest, if you can, scope out the place a little, look at the cars they just finished, take notice of the workers, talk to them many times the men will not hesitate to tell you take your car someplace else ! I kid you not ! So, thats the deal folks, good luck ! Dont be bitten 😎✌️✝️💕

Been watching your content for a long time, and just wanted to say that you do a lot for the Mustang community with your videos... particularly for us New Edge guys.
Don’t sweat the Terminator. Handle your business young brother. I’d like to have one myself but being retired/disabled and on a fixed budget my money is better spent on other things. I feel blessed to be able to drop a bit of discretionary funds into my 04 GT and enjoy watching others enjoy their rides as well.

I was cruising west bound 70 from Ohio to Indy in my 71 Boss-351Mach (no longer have) when i passed a couple in a 64-1/2 hardtop mustang that had just been restored. As i passed we both gave the damn your looking sweet thumbs up to each other and at that split second in time his hood came up slamming and destroying the hood, windshield and roof! When i pulled over to help, he told me him and his wife had just picked the car up! I have a newedge (i still have) that i lowered and installed camber plates. Did it myself in the garage but i couldn't do the alignment. After getting her home from alignment shop i discovered they left bolts loose that anchor the plates down to the wheel well! Thankfully i don't live far from that shop that i'll NEVER USE AGAIN! Glad nothing happened to the Mach and can't wait till you get it done! Waiting to see it! Mom's GT sounded bad a$$!
Deeeng. Reminds me of when my brother took me to pick up my Newedge from Maaco. Black too. Sent you pics on IG. That car pulled more heads that my current one does, hahaha. These Gen 3 coyotes are dope tho. I have the same exhaust as Tyler’s mom 5.0. Outlaws with a Pypes H Pipe. If you do get a Gen 3 you’ll love it. Heck I never thought I’d own one. I was searching forever for a low mileage Black 13/14 5.0. Found one but it was an Arkansas. I’m in Cali soo it was too far. Anyways, excited for that Mach Uno restoration. Ganna be sick! That BBK X Pipe is ganna sound lit. I recommend some Flowmaster Super 10s. That’s what I rocked. Was nice.

Damn Homies mom has a nice GT! Sounds great, I missed that vid but will catch it next. And I’ve used Macco many times, usually remove lights bumpers etc sand all the tire spots and they usually do a great spray job.

2021 GT 10speed. My Fav thing is the drive modes. You can daily it or take it on a road trip in normal drive modes and got decent MPG's. The way the trans puts the power down in sport mode makes it really fun too drive. It's my daily so the auto is nice to have and the fact that I can change the drive mode from chill to aggressive is so nice!

Maaco is one of those places where it depends on the specific operator of that store and the people they have on their team. My local Maaco in town has a good reputation and I’ve had my car worked on there several times over the time of ownership. They do good work for the money.
It’s simple, you get what you pay for. Most of the time.
Its funny when most people say you get what you pay for when it comes to paint. I literally just spent twice what he did yet his looks easily twice as good as mine just came out. Needless to say I wasn't happy. Terrible orange peel and specks all over every panel. Sanding marking on windshield, random overspray.
@@theripper121 I hear you. That’s why I prefaced my statement with it depending on the specific Maaco, and how their operation is ran. Some operators don’t care. Others do.
I’m going through a price/performance lesson right now getting flooring done in my house. Sometimes expensive =/= quality

Alright you got my blessing. My dad has had a 1969 mach 1 351w that he has owned since high school. I own a 2003 Mach 1. Machs are amazing and in my opinion the 2003 Mach 1 is the best project mustang no one talks about. Cant wait to see what y’all do with the car.

The thing is with the MAACO paint jobs is... They may come out looking good, But that paint wont last AT ALL.. The way they do it is FAST and easy. The paint never lasts and it will start to flake off after it gets sun baked.
I love the Gen III's. Especially when they are painted in Rapid Red. That color would be my favorite, and the shape/lines of the Gen III seems to really accentuate that color. Beautiful!
Yea I hear ya. Wanted a ruby red, but they discontinued it for 2020. When I bought my car I didn't know that and thought I was looking at ruby and dudes like no this is rapid red. I'm like I thought it looked different

MAACO paint jobs depend a lot on who is running the shop. Bought an F350 from a friend's dad's estate in "Cattle country" for not even half book value. Crew cab, 4WD, long bed and a Warn bumper & winch set up. The worst thing is that is sat in a field for 2.5 years, the cosmetics really took a hit- not to mention it had a couple "Love taps" in the bed sides.
Asked a couple buddies with body shops what a paint job would cost. Rough price? $10k. Then one said-"Just take it to Roland & the guys."
So I did. Stripped the truck of all trim, windshield & back glass pulled, rear bumper off, front bumper..? Nah, it would've taken a forklift & 3 guys to get it on & off. That MAACO in Bellevue, Washington is awesome
In the end, I got a base/clear paint job with a 5 year warranty for $5500. Is it perfect? No. Is it really presentable? Yes. For my purposes, which was to have a truck everybody could fit in, haul anything I could imagine (I went across country with the truck & my cargo trailer weighing on the scales at 23,556 lbs with the dog & I standing outside looking through the WSP station glass), 1,114 of the 2,550 7.7 lbs pavers I bought from the Williamsburg/Jamestown/Jonestown trust in the bed (I made 3 trips, the next 2 were smaller loads- the 1st one from VA to NC was sketchy at points), and pulling a tractor to & from our lake property.

I literally went to Macco today for my 2003 Zink yellow Mach 1. It has some hevey rock chips on hood and a golf ball size dint on rear quarter panel. Total quote was 2800.00 that's for everything and a upgraded polish. A paint job will be the foundation for my build. Good looking ride my dude

It looks good. I had Maaco paint my 1966 Mustang 2+2. I did hold their hand as such and let them know I wanted a GOOD driver paint job.....I drive my cars. This shop paints ALL the Highway Patrol cars so they do a lot of painting and have to be good. A little pre prep and instruction and Maaco can do a decent job.
