Why you choose transalp over vstrom?i ve done quick test rides on both,and tenere too,but damn i cant deside.i m not an off road guy much,thats why i m leaning more to transalp.but i like tenere and vstrom too.i just found vstrom i little bulky and tenere a little weak and not that good for traveling.i dont know,i m 1.78 and vstrom felt big and tall,but the motor was explosive
I am of the same height, and transalp is quite comfortable for me, only dropped it once;) v-strom felt a bit dull to me and tall yes, maybe the RE version is better. Overall, I choose Transalp because if put in sports mode, it blasts from lows at any gear; the sound is very nice, especially engine braking at deceleration. Maneuverability is great, it only took me one parking lot session to make u-turns and 8s on it. Now after 1000km over the weekend I see some bits and pieces that should be fixed, but I still like it a lot ;) Also did some offroading and it was really cool, will upload the video a bit later.
