Yeah, it was nice. Unfortunately, I can't upload the first part, where I rode from the Hague, as I put on the wrong ND filter, and it came up overexposed. Brouwersdam Strand is cool; you are literally riding on the coast. Next time, I'll take it more seriously and try to ride to Boerengat. Hopefully, with the right ND filter, too :)

@@MrRui33333 hey, cp3 is a really great engine, it is smooth, you just need to rev it a little bit. I really miss the pull and smoothness riding my transalp. just get it and ride it.

It was actually a suggestion in one of the CZcams comments. :) I hold it wide so that my pinky finger grips the bar end, which gives me better throttle control. The only downside is that I need to remove my left hand from the handlebar to use the indication switch. It looks stupid on an MT09, I agree. It's a bit better on a Transalp.

Ja het mag officieel niet, maar zolang je het netjes doet word je er echt niet op beboet. beetje het gedoogbeleid onder motorrijders. die rechteruitspraak ging over een motorrijder die een andere rijbaan gebruikte (afslag) om vervolgens rechtdoor te filteren. Dat is wel wat anders dan bij rood licht de meest linker middenbaan voorzichtig naar voren kruipen.

I was lucky; we got some sun here in the Netherlands. :) I'm still not sure about ISO. 100-400 may be a better choice for the shadows. The footage under the trees at 09:00 seems dark. Today, I was filming in the overcast conditions with ND4; let's see how it will look.

I am of the same height, and transalp is quite comfortable for me, only dropped it once;) v-strom felt a bit dull to me and tall yes, maybe the RE version is better. Overall, I choose Transalp because if put in sports mode, it blasts from lows at any gear; the sound is very nice, especially engine braking at deceleration. Maneuverability is great, it only took me one parking lot session to make u-turns and 8s on it. Now after 1000km over the weekend I see some bits and pieces that should be fixed, but I still like it a lot ;) Also did some offroading and it was really cool, will upload the video a bit later.

Well, the suspension is definitely better than on a Segway E110 I had before. Partly due to the 14" wheels, I suppose. At 2.0 bars front and rear, it's really comfy. I only feel bottoming the rear shock while slamming at 45 on the typical Dutch cobblestone roads, which probably is not a good idea for any road-oriented shock :)

I don't know if the fork and shock are serviceable, but some thicker oil may suit them as they are soft in stock-or stiffer springs.

@@Ninono7878 Actually, I've just sold the iva to an e125s owner. He made a test ride on the iva, took some time to think, and after driving an e125s made the right choice ;) Thanks for the video recommendation I'll have a look.

@@Arman-tm1kz I did not buy it, it was only a test drive to prove that all people saying it is boring af were right :) and yes it would be hard to sell it for a decent price

They are very nice guys. I still want to do couple more test rides, v-strom 800and tracer 9. Out of these two, transalp feels better, although a bit rough on gear switching.

@@rideinnl noticed the rough edge on the gear switching indeed :D A beginner rider who als tried bikes for the first time is fully excused :D. Not planning to try some Kawasaki's?

@@jg7173 well, Kawasaki has Versys 650, but it looks weird :) And Versys 1000 is a bit too much for the first bike

@@rideinnl Versys looks weird indeed. Your preference is a tour bike it seems,.. enough choices and its a matter of trying all thats within your budget. I do not like supersport; my back is in a bad shape so i need to sit up straight, but i am not into the touring bikes myself. The Kawa Z900 (or Ninja 650 as a second option) is what i am aiming for. Looks sexy and i still sit up straight. Goodluck with your quest in finding something of your taste :)

Just got my license too. I did not look over the shoulder on a highway once, so the lady gave me a second chance on a highway. Luckily second time was good enough. We started the exam right from the CBR parking at Lange Kleiweg 30, I had my car exam started from the second location down the road to Delft. The exam only took about 30 minutes, but the lessons :) 9 months, 4k euros (2 failed AVD), that was a long road.

Must be a great feeling of victory :D I had a bit shorter road in terms of money; 1.6k but took me 1 year as i did not drive in the winter and 1x failed AVB due to managing somehow to stop 1 meter too early on both precision stop exercises,.....but it felt as pure victory and a long desired dream coming true. Make sure you video your first ride as you might want to analyse that one as well. I know i will - still saving for a Z900 i am though... Maybe ill manage to get one next year (got my licence 10 months go... but financial situation is not really helping me getting a nice bike on short notice, even second hand ones with quite a bit of use are still pricey! What bike you plan to get? Drive safe when you do :)

Doing AVB in winter is fun, especially when it's freezing; I think I managed to fail almost all of the exercises :) Prices on second-hand bikes are insane; I am thinking about Tracer 9; they have a 5-year warranty from this year, and hopefully, it will help the bike retain its value. But with financing I will have to take all risk casko, which is 100 a month itself :/ Lets see, first need to book a test ride. Sometimes, I think about naked bikes, like the MT07 or the same CB650 I was learning to ride, but then I look out the window. Unfortunately all the naked bikes with windshields look bad :)

@@rideinnl for example New 2024 model - 0km usage: €10k A 2020 - 2022 model second hand bike with 10k upto 20k kilometer usage....average €8500 This way i think i just get a second hand, save money again and sell the bike for nearly the same price i bought it and buy a new one... Just crazy how these prices stay up this high. I never was fond of naked bikes, but wind will always be a factor (on the highway mostly). unless you get a big ass windscreen, like what is on a Harley or Goldwing. Tracer is also nice, surely comfortable, but, expensive :D. Goodluck with the entire process of choosing, trying, and eventually buying. Post some video's once you on a bike again :) Always fun to see a new rider developing himself...

We are told that 108 is the minimun that we should be driving on a highway, so entering at 120-130 is fine, just a bit scary every time :) The exam is in a week.
