Morel Mushroom Picking 2024 by Sycamore and Cherry Trees

Morel Mushroom hunting picking Harvesting and Looking for large yellow Morels Me and Kirk the Hound Dog Kaklcberry Hound dog were find the rare Brown chocolate Morel Mushrooms only found by Cherry trees and years have to Pass for about 5 to 10 years before they pop up again these Chocolate Morels are the best tasting of all the morels in way Big Tim see it so if you see Chocolate or brown then you are having a very lucky day on a Mushroom hunt I pick about 20 Morel Mushrooms that day and i Left many more Mushrooms so they could reproduce in hoping for more Mushrooms next year Make sure you look for Large live Sycamore Trees always find some Morel Mushrooms under these Trees they are easy to Identify because they look like Light Green Cameo bark the May apples were up and this is a good sign that you will be on the Morel Mushroom I had to Hike a least 3 miles every day to find these Mushrooms and some days there was snow and some days there was a little rain i do not pick mushrooms in the rain they get to wet and are hard to store I like to cut the bottom of the Morel Mushrooms because they can sometimes grow back next year Me and my Brother found 3 different verity of Morel Mushrooms in one day many it was 4 we found Black Chocolate brown Grey and Yellow what a day with Big tim and Kirks Galley HAVE FUN Watching Big Tim

those little "chocolate" ones usually grow in stands of tulip poplar her in W.V., they're usually sparce, I've only found them in flushes if the weather's been absolutely perfect

Ummm 🧐🤔? Ok, but they are everywhere I've ever been so i think they are only exciting because of the short life cycle they have?

First of all, they are not everywhere. If so, consider yourself lucky. The lifespan is short, but they only grow at the beginning of spring. Mother nature gives us a small window to get out and find wild morels. They're also very tasty and normally sell for over $50.00 a pound. Who doesn't like a treasure hunt?
