I've grown up on a oxford council estate it's mad to see how uni students live in town in the meantime (btw no hate or sarcasm legit find it interesting)
I enjoyed life most when I was reading Crime and Punishment. I'm so jealous of you rn because you get to experience reading it for the first time. I really would like to know what you think of this novel
you are so high vibrational, inspirational happy human being to watch with a buzzing energie! you make my day brighter & help me through rough times. u are definitely Queen of Wands! Thank you Alwyn u have no idea! 🤗 p.s. i love your new camera! so nice!
I really love how you demonstrate what you do, what you read, what you write, cause many bloggers just drink coffee and like "oh, I'm working sooo hard today". ... Where? What you do?))))😂
I absolutely love “Crime and Punishment”! I read it in the original, since Russian is one of my native languages. Dostoevsky is one of the most profound authors I have ever read. Thanks for the video❤
Ok, I need to start going to coffee shops to read! I love that idea but I just never make the time to do so but I think I need to! I know I bring my book to work and boy, do I get stares!😂
As long as you’re reading during your breaks, who cares if you’re reading! In fact, if I saw someone reading during their break, I’d think that’s a really smart way to relax. Good on you!
Good luck, my lovely. I wish you all the best for the future. I have lived in Oxford all my life , its history is amazing. If you ever have the time look it up 🇬🇧🇬🇧
Guys, I’m obsessed with mathematics and physics, but also dark academia. I don’t really see these things go together, anyone have any ideas to make my favourite subjects feel more dark academia?
I open the New York Times today and there’s a new book highlighted, entitled Shakespeare’s Sisters about female writers of the era with little insights and tidbits and thought of you and how you might like it. I plan to order it in the future.
My first language isn’t English, but I think I learned that one would say „it was dark when I woke up“ I heard and the subtitles say „it was dark when I wake up“ ? Could someone elaborate ? 😊
Not an English student so I can't say official grammar rules, but I think it's because "I wake up/I am waking up" = present tense, and "I woke up" is past tense :)
She did say “it was dark when i woke up”. The subtitles are automatically generated, that’s why there’s a mistake there. At another time in the video she says “it was excellent”, but the subtitles say “it was accident”.
@@bertabalogh7726 So woke is correct right ? I know the undertitels can be wrong but I also heard her say “woke”. I only checked the subtitles after bc I was confused. I relistend and I still hear her say “wake” 😅
@@dancewithmole but you cannot mix times. It would have to be “It is! dark when I wake up, because it is early.” not “ It was! dark when I wake up”. Because of the was the sentence is past tense.
@@lara_PenzelI "re-listened" and I think it can be her pronunciation, but I'm quite sure she said "woke" even if it's totally fair to be confused, it's really fast😉🤍

Its a shame you guys studying english only do critical reading and stop short of critical thinking… actually I suppose it isnt entirely required for subjective matters.
You're the sign of productivity. Whenever I feel low I watch your videos . It's so calm ❤

Some people just love studying and studying. PhDs after PhDs but never worked a day in their lives lmao
Are you purposely reading crime and punishment slowly ?
What a lavish life. Who’s paying for all of this? Or it a case of interminable government loan?
Why tho

Love “crime and punishment”!! It was the book which introduced me to Mr. Dostoyevsky years ago and I’ve been in love with him ever since ♥️
