  • We are back with one of the most requested video the last few months! It's time for the Essentially Honest Curly Hair Product Review - Rizos Curls Review! If you've followed me on Instagram then you know I've previously used the Rizos Curl Defining Cream but they recently released a light hold gel. After getting several requests to review the line across social platforms, I decided to give my honest thoughts on the Rizos Curl Shampoo, Rizos Curl Deep Conditioner, Rizos Curl Defining Cream & the new Rizos Curl Light Hold Gel. They also have a spray leave in conditioner/detangler that I've used in the past but not in today's video.

    Hi Erynne! Thanks for doing this review. I've been super curious about this line myself. I just got a few bounce curl products so i may hold off on purchasing Rizos until i've used some of these up but seeing as i have a feeling my curl type is somewhat similar to yours (i know there are many factors lol) I am thinking we may have similar results and yours look great! :)

    • @EssentiallyErynne
      @EssentiallyErynne  Pƙed 3 lety +1

      It depends, Bouncecurl has higher protein & Rizos has higher moisture. So depending on what your hair needs or responds best to, I’d go with that!

I have fine wavy/curly hair and I would love to see you review a combo video using Curl Keeper Original, Curl Keeper Tweek, AG Recoil Curl Activator (Original) and hard hold gel. I would love to see what your hair looks like using those products.

      @EssentiallyErynne  Pƙed 2 lety +1

      Hi there! Thanks so much for watching! I tried curl keeper years ago & it didn’t have enough hold for me but I’d be interested in trying something, probably with fewer products though since that’s a lot for fine hair!

      @karenb.2012 Pƙed 2 lety +1

      @@EssentiallyErynne Thank you! You might like Curl Keeper with a gel. I agree it doesn’t have enough hold I use those products I listed however I use very small amounts of those products on my fine hair, products last a long time for me.

    • @EssentiallyErynne
      @EssentiallyErynne  Pƙed 2 lety +1

      @@karenb.2012 if your routine works then great! TBH if you have fine hair i probably would recommend only using 1 cream, between Tweek/Recoil you’re covered on moisture. Unless one of them has protein (I’ll check later) you should be getting the moisture you need from one of them.

      Hi there, thanks for watching! If your hair is high porosity, fine or gets weighed down easily then I would go with Verb Ghost. If your hair is low porosity, denser & needs more moisture then I would go with Rizos! đŸ’•đŸ–€

    I’m disappointed to hear that the shampoo’s scent is strong😭😭 one of my family members is very sensitive to strong, perfume-y scents so it’s a shame that I won’t be able to try it out. But thank you so, so much for including what the scent is like I’ve been looking all over for someone to comment on that! Can I ask what the cream smells like? Is it also just as strong as the shampoo?

    Do you need to put on conditioner if you already put deep conditioner and also how many times should you put on deep conditioner?

    • @EssentiallyErynne
      @EssentiallyErynne  Pƙed 2 lety +1

      Personally, I replace my conditioning with a deep conditioner & don’t do both bc my hair is prone to over moisturizing. How often you need to deep condition is dependent on your hair’s porosity. I have medium-high porosity so I deep condition every 2-3 weeks. People with low porosity should deep condition more often.

      Yes I have, my hair naturally falls in a weird way, especially with my current hair cut & I don’t care for it, so I part it the way my hair was cut so it looks balanced on both sides.
