- BANGKOK, THAILAND - Some of the best food in Bangkok is hidden away down a little alley. I stumbled across this Thai street food stall which serves my favourite duck noodles in all of Bangkok. Not only are they absolutely delicious, they are fantastic value for money and the owner of the stall is incredibly friendly. If you are in Thonburi and let's be honest, if you like food, you should visit the area. Then the area around Wongwian Yai BTS is a must in my opinion and these duck noodles are a big part of that.

Wong Wian Yai is my neighborhood where I grew up but, honestly, I've never known this duck noodle stall exist!

hahah I tried to go and eat pad krapao and it was closed, so I went for a walk and stumbled across this place. Sometimes that is the best way.

I do recommend you guys to find a place like this to eat. Most of them are cleaner than their look.
Many popular retaurants for tourist group in shopping mall are now overrated and overpriced.
It is a great place, make sure you eat there

You're good at being able to taste the texture of the duck noodles. There are few foreigners who like to eat delicious food. I am Thai. I like to eat duck noodles. and there are Thai people who do not like to eat But I would like to comment a little that the shop should wear plastic gloves when picking up. Or use pliers to pick the parts of the duck, it looks clean and safe for consumers.
It’s a very very good bowl of duck noodles
I also put chilli vinegar too to reduce the oily taste
for me it is to reduce the sweetness
Admin said about stomach but it is the gizzard . Thanks for your info anyhow.And they used the galangal to perfume the soup not ginger.

Quiet difficult finding a good noodles, even there are many.
Fyi, Parlo is how we preserve food such as pork leg and duck.
So they can be served last long many days.
these were certainly very delicious
i prefer the wider egg noodles but it's very difficult to find. most stores will only have regular smaller ones. for me, they taste better when having a dried dish.
Same, it's pretty rare to find one. There one near me but that place only sold about 2-3 hours a day on my work time and on random day too. So I rarely get to ate there

It's regrettable that you don't like veggies. Its purpose is to balance the heavy broth of duck soup. I can't find myself enjoy such duck noodles without such green veggies. Anyway to each is his own. Quite a few Thais and westerners just don't like green veggies.
haha I do like veggies, especially green ones. I just don't like beansprouts so asked without. I took everything else available haha.
The sweet flavour of the duck noodle might go well with the chilli vinegar , it could be too sweet if the customer didn't add the said Thai Chilli Heat as u prefer..
sure, these noodles were not too sweet though, but still I love the acidity of the vinegar.

A question Joe, what is your vaccine protection as you are travelling and eating pretty much everywhere.
Hepa A prolly and strepto vaccines?
i've been living in thailand for more than 50 yrs, never had either of those vaccines, and still survived till this day.
I am jabbed up. I got jabbed for pretty much everything for a work trip to India once, so just topped up what I needed before this trip. If you go to a vaccination clinic, they are pretty good at telling you what you need, but you need to go early enough because some jabs need 2-3 doses before they are effective.

Sadly this kinna soup are not go well with MSG ( i mean thing with พะโล้ flavor or 5 spice flavor)
cause you need the light falvor of stock + light flavor of sweet thing + Mallad to macth perfectly and if you add MSG it gonna feel like the stock and sweet flavor will overwhelm the Mallad
Thailand have many instant food like instant kerry that they alway add MSG in it but in พะโล้ flavor they even not use MSG ( They use something that dont ruin the falvor instead like disodium-5-ribonucleotide)

Wider one is more delicious. And remember, if you order noodle you should not leave it for minutes. You should eat while it is hot (or a bit hot). It is the most delicious time.
