I like the game, main issue I have with it right now is that weapon progression is painfully slow. Each weapon has almost 50 levels until all the attachments are unlocked and you get like 1 level up per game

Servers a it patchy on launch but I had one game so far & had fun, movement is good, not as exaggerated as CoD's movement & seems quality so far. It's refreshing to have a new contender in the field

i was literally playing this a few hours ago and i have to say, i had a horrible time, in 3hrs i had one game.... yes, one game, the servers are still very much broken, ill give it another go as the one game i actually managed to play, i enjoyed it but be ready to be waiting for games, also my internet is very good and i used a wired connect to get the best result

It’s honestly nice to not have 100 different attachments for 50 different guns.
My main complaint is the hero power up shit. Would’ve rather not had to deal with wall hacks that reload like every 30 seconds but I’ll get used to it.
I would rather have 100 attachments with my 100 levels than have 20 attachments and nothing to unlock from level 22 all the way to 100.

You do realize that most of the 100 attachments are worthless right ? I'd rather have just 10 attachments that are all useful than having 100 attachments that are mostly useless and are in the game just to waste my time

But if you're saying the attachments are only in the game to waste time then what about the 100 levels of xp you have to get? I mean some guns don't have more than 20 attachments isn't the other 80 levels just wasting time too?

A- That is exactly why they are useless, what's the point of having 10 attachments that all do the exact same thing?
B- weapons didn't have such high max levels in the old games, for example the max level for all weapons in COD infinite warfare is 15 and after you reach that level you can start prestigeing the weapon to get special rewards, that system was much better imo as it was way less time consuming and more fun.
@@hussien04 weapon prestigeing was good. And i agree they raised levels to pad for time. But the system they use now where attachments transfer between guns has its uses aswell. And with about 120 guns in the game from the current and previous call of duty there's bound to be some overlap. And they won't just stop making attachments, that'd make it inconsistent. And recently per dlc gun they have tried to make atleast 1 attachment stand out. And lower weapon levels.
But in Xdefiant's case they could atleast add something in between all of the empty space that's over half of the levels, Required for mastery. Modern Warfare 2019 had around 70 levels per AR for example and they substituted attachments for camo challenges, Way worst imo
3 matches in and I'm already encountering bunnyhopping sweatlords who delete me in .5 seconds. It's like cod and overwatch had a baby.
Edit: The main reason why I believe I'm struggling so much is because I lost sight in my right eye in 2022 so my perception is off.

People are just better at games now. SBMM is real of course but you can’t account for player behavior in a competitive multiplayer game. Sometimes you’ll get destroyed and lose. That is just part of the competitive multiplayer experience and always has been.
I hate how people don't realize that shooting games have been out forever now but they've been especially mainstream since at least 2007 or 9. to be very good at this game after 10 plus years of practice is just normal... the level of skill has gone up when you don't stop playing, especially for years and years you get better. if you stop playing for 6 months you become ass again
