The fact that he can get 4 kills before having to reload it’s actually crazy in a game like xdefiant

Ok, I'm gonna be honest, the Spider drone has actually jumpscared me a couple of times.
Ran a 3 man party and all we did was use the spider bot and made people leave the game once we used our specials to cancel out everyone else’s lol
That shit needs to be removed cause that spider bot obstructing your vision in a fast paced shooter is rage inducing. Even the stun lock is disturbing
We versed a 5 man on occupy and it felt legit impossible as someone with a mostly matchmade team.
It's insane in a group. At least the shielders can be hacked or stunned but dayum
Believe me when I say it’s not what I prefer to run. We just got tired of NOT being able to stop it so we decided to run it and unfortunately for 6 matches people felt my pain lol 😅
They need to make it so you can press a button on the controller or keyboard to help get it off and hopefully not die

That happened to me today, I was EMP'ed for like a solid 60 seconds at one point. They almost won but we full held the last point when they only needed 2 seconds and their top fragger rage quit 🤣 Serves them right
i think the most annoying thing is the inconsistency in ttk. feels like i drop people sometimes and leave them at half hp other times (roughly same hitmarkers (im also not focused on the hitmarkers so i think they're roughly the same amount))
Problem with tracking hitmarkers is currently hitmarkers show in cases that you already died server side. You can see this with sniping very often, you shoot as you die and it gives you a hitmarker but they are still at full health.

You can also hijack the Spiderbot with Dedsecs other ability and cause the Spiderbot to target the enemy team

You can destroy the spiderbot by just meleeing it when it jumps towards you. Easiest and fastest way to kill them.
Input based matchmaking is a godsend. M&KB only lobbies are criminal underrated and not an option in most cross play games.

I don’t like how the spider bot slows your sense since you can aim down and shoot it, but you can also hack it before it gets to you but that ALSO requires DedSec when typically counters are in different class like how cleaners burn tick damage is countered by Libertad passive heal
my first ever cod game was bo3, i was never an fps player before that and i was like 14, i hit master prestige with a 0.3 kd and got massively better as i played as i went from going 0-20 when i started to gettying nukes when i was done with the game a few years later but because there was no sbmm i was forced to play against better players and got better as a result, yes it sucked getting shit on forever but i’m better at every fps now because of that learning curve

I haven't played, but it reminds me of Prophet from Bo4, and he had the stun drone. People wanted it removed, and it just got nerfed. Imagine a 6 man prophet stun drone lol
That’s what I don’t want XDefiant to turn into. In BO4, they had it so you could hit a button to get it off you. In XDefiant, it’s basically death every time if that thing attaches to your FACE. I could take being stunned and having an out. With DedSec, you guarantee kills off using their abilities and there’s no way to stop the stun. The spider bot taking up 90 percent of the screen is the most annoying thing about the game rn imo

Haven’t cared about winning or losing a COD match in over 10 years. But the feeling I get when I lose an xdefiant match is indescribable blinding rage that causes me to immediately jump into another game to try and win with more kills, more ability uses, etc. it’s addicting man. It’s nice to have a fun arcade shooter like COD was back in the early MW/BO days. Hopefully Ubisoft can keep it alive but as of rn I’m having more fun with x than I’ve had playing COD in a long time

Preferably, I actually use the hijack to counter the spider bot and use it to my advantage as it changes to my side and it’s really funny when I catch someone with hijack.

Your teammates can also shoot the spider off your face if they're paying any kind of attention, and vice versa as well.

Dedsec's Hijack ability is criminally underrated. Being able to reverse an enemy shield is SUPER clutch. Not to mention you can also hack Remedios, Spiderbot, and the Fire Drone. It has expanded utility during your Ultra but I haven't figured all of that out yet.
I think the biggest problem with it is inconsistency and longer cooldown, which is why people don't use it. Sometimes I'd be around a corner where I know the enemy has a barrier up, but the hijack won't affect that, instead hack something else. Also, it'd be really cool if we can hijack Echelon's Intel Suit and show their teammates, that would balance out the complaint's people have about that Echelon ability.
I agree. the spider bots in escort or zone control are just so annoying. pop around a corner or about to run into a room and facehugger is there always. even just 2 people running it is enough to mess with the flanks too well.
I don't use this ability at all, but I can imagine it especially enraging the super sweats who Bunny Hop and air strafe each gun fight like their life depends on it, and that makes me smile.
That spider is toxic cheese. Even if you play on the lowest sensitivity with amputated thumbs you are dying to it. Zero skill, 100% cringe and any player getting hit by it feels the same. Half the time those spiders are straight up invincible and don't even take damage. They lock you in place, deal damage, delay healing, block vision. Hipfire is useless in this game so even point blank getting spidered is a free kill with no counter.
Imagine being so bad you resort to genuinely broken shit to even have a *chance* of getting a kill
You guys are genuine crybabies, there’s an actual counter to it once it gets on your face but I’ll let you guys cry it out instead of telling you how to do it :)
@@Powerduck335 Yes I know looking down and shooting is supposed to get it off, but the spiderbot doesn’t even latch on half the time and just shocks you from 8 feet away with your max spread hipfire, and the other half of the time it refuses to register any damage and makes you empty a mag into nothing. It’s actually broken, not “balance” broken.
And that’s ignoring that getting latched by the spider is immediate death whether you shoot it off or not, as Jev proved 67 times in that first match.

The spiderbot sounds like the Shock RC from CoD: Mobile, it was really useful for flushing campers out and such so as long as they create a counter or make it balanced, I think thats a great skill
5:15 I think the power in that ultimate is the ability to turn the tables in a crucial moment for objective based game modes. Not to mention its ability to negate a Phantom ult on sight (granted you might not charge quickly enough) or potentially see "revealed by sonar goggles" at the bottom of your screen and hear a five seven plinking silently. *taps double bumper* Somehow the five seven disappears with the goggles... I might be a bully, am I a bully?

As much as I love playing this game (and before anyone say skill issue, I have a 2.2 kd, a 2.9 win loss and a 560 something score per minute) I HATE how many abilities are just free wins to fights. The most egregious is the drone. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve shot this thing, and it still jumps on me and I die. A barebones mode would be fun here and there

on mouse and kb i found there to be a big delay sometimes on snipers when trying to quickscope

The thing to me is, I'm aware it has counters but to be MID GUNFIGHT and have that thing jump on me from an angle I didnt hear it from, or I wasnt looking at, its extremely annoying to fight against. Sometimes you literally cannot focus on that thing. In other situations, I've literally rounded a corner, the spider bot is there, it latches me and the guy who sent it is RIGHT behind it so I'm a free kill

They have the beginners playlist (under lvl 25) which offsets the skill issue. Also, I would love to see knifing. Good way to combat people with SMGs and shotguns since most maps are close quarters

So one time, the spider bot jumped up the ladder to that control room in the middle section of Meltdown, right when I was about to jump down and then jumped on my face. A second one also jumped up the ladder and I could see it sitting there waiting. When the 1st one finished, the 2nd one immediately jumped on my face. That was the biggest BS I ever seen, i couldn't believe it. Lmao
I have found success recently In hip firing when it’s latched onto you. Not sure if it’s supposed to destroy the spider bot but it does
As annoying as the Spiderbot can be, the other deadsec ability needs a massive buff. It can be used on like what? 3 things? The Mag Barrier, Libertad healing ability, and bouncing betties.

Spider should have a predetermined trajectory but able to bounce off walls along its path. Similar to the way Raze’s boom bot works in Valorant.

To counter the spiderbug, you can look down and shoot it. Not sure if its intentional but it works. Wont work when the spider doesnt appear on your screen.

i have been enjoying qs in this game, havent really done that since ops 2. but i have played a lot of battlefield and i noticed i hit a lot more headshots on snipers than i probably need to.
Jev you make an interesting point with people actually caring about winning in XD. I’m not sure why I do look forward to trying to win the games in XD. I have around a 2.0 win/loss ratio. And in cod I could care less about winning or losing.

I heard from someone if you look strait down and shoot while the spiders on you it destroys it but I haven’t tested it yet
best way ive found to counter the spider is to look down while its on your face and shoot your weapon around 3-4 shots and it will break
Deadsec is so good with the hack abilitie you can hack the spiderbot , and you can even hack the fire drone
My only complaint is about the passives like incendiary rounds and 120 health for phantoms is annoying af...imo i think something like dec damage to explosions or grenades for the Phantoms or dec fire damage for the Cleaners (due to their suits) would've been much better to deal with or idk any other idea
Jev if the spider pops up onto your face if you look at the floor and shoot it generally gets destroyed. Not sure if it’s a bug but it works
If you shoot while the spider bot is on you then you can shoot it off, also you can shoot it while it’s coming at you and another tip is your teammate can shoot it off for you
Jev I did that in the beta 6 man spider bot we all used movement LMG builds and made whole lobbies leave multiple times

AA-12 is a fundamentally flawed video game gun. Its application is basically like a very close range SMG
when youre supposed to spray even at poitn blank range for a kill, you lose the only 2 advantages you otherwise have with a shotgun.
1) Stick and move. Shoot, use games movement to dodge incoming bullets while you pump the next shell, repeat. with aa12 youre just sat there for 4 or 5 shots it takes.
2) faster ttk than smg at point blank range. General video game balance says that in hipfire range you should 1shot opponents with a shotty. This thing couldnt oneshot a house of cards

Objective does help charge ult, but not as much as kills from what I have noticed
Meleeing the spider is so hard, I’ve not been able to do it yet
The best way to use the spider is if someone is using the intel ability you launch the spider two corners away and itll go to the first person especially if you stay behind the bot then you can hope aeound the corner and get them right as theyre suprised by the bot
