Guatemala City's Zone 10 - Guatemala's Most Modern Zone?

  • A walk through Zone 10 of Guatemala City, just as the sun is setting. A clean and modern part of Guatemala's capital, Zone 10 (Zona 10) is a nice area for foreigners to explore. As with everywhere in Guatemala City, some degree of caution is needed. I am not recommending anyone to walk around filming themselves or to take unnecessary risks. But as you can see from this brief walk, there is a lot to enjoy in Zone 10 - including a huge shopping mall, and a lot of restaurants and bars.

As for motorbikes on the sidewalks in Vietnam - I lived there until March 2020 and nothing had changed - in fact, I rode along the sidewalk with them - time saver, haha!

Great video in Zona 10 ( zone 10 Zona Viva in Guate) Guatemala City. I know the zone well. My favorite shopping mall is Los Proceres really nice stores that are not expensive, Oakland is nice to browse. A really entertainment experience is La Fontanella...is so nice walking around, seeing the fountains etc. I stayed for many days at the Best Western Stofella in Zone 10. On my last trip. Thats a safe area in the city that where you would find many pedestrians walking on the streeet. My favorite restaurant is La Media Cancha Argentine Steakhouse close to Plaza España. Oh so good..the weather delightful in Guatemala City..Its so nice. Safety gets a bad rap but it really has nice areas, the people are so nice. Keep enjoying your time in Guate. Greetings from Panama. Zone 10 has always been a really nice area..I was in awe when I first visited Guatemala City for the 1st time in 1988. That area is always changing but its so nice.

And yes you picked PEAK rush hour traffic, which is bad especially in Zone 10. But I have walked that street in the morning and its much quiet and quicker to get around by car then.

Now I live in USA but I'll be back to my country soon, and stay for ever, maybe Puerto Barrios, so I can go to Livingston Belize. Another beautiful place. Thank you, your videos are awesome.

That reddish / pink building at the 2:25 and 3:02 mark - I think that’s where the Canadian embassy is. Usually there’s a Canadian flag out on that flag pole. I didn’t see it in your video. Makes me wonder if it moved or if it’s really the embassy. But that’s what I was once told.
