- Join me in a scenic road trip from Bengaluru to Madikeri (Coorg).
In this travel series, I will be taking you away from the city hustle to the lush greenery and breathtaking waterfalls.
Day 4 Itinerary (cont):
We checked out of our Coorg Resort and travelled back to Bangalore. We bought Wine from Coorg. Then we stopped at NisargaDham to explore adventure park and bird park. The scenic site is a popular tourist place in Coorg which visitors from across borders visit the lovely island for lavish picnics. The sparkling holy Kaveri surrounds the magnificent island adds to its attractions.It takes around 6-8 hours of time if you are planning for a one day picnic to Kaveri Nisargadhama Forest Park. Entry Fee : Adults: INR 10, Children: INR 5, Elephant Rides: INR 25, Boating: INR 100.
It is a 64-acre (260,000 m2) island, with lush foliage of thick bamboo groves, sandalwood and teak trees. The island is accessible through a hanging rope bridge. There are deer, rabbits, peacocks and a children's playground as well as an orchidarium. Tourists are even allowed to get into the water at a few shallow and safe points along the river. Elephant rides and boating are some of the other popular attractions here. Nisargadhama also has a forest department-run guest house and treetop bamboo cottages.
This place has a lot of Parking space in 500 mtrs (This is paid parking). There are shops in the vecinity where you can eat and do shopping as well. This is a very nice place to visit to take a break while coming back to Bangalore from Coorg.
