They say Kodaikanal is the Princess of Hills and I would say that it is every bit true. It is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful hill stations out there. With its endless number of waterfalls, lakes, viewpoints and parks, Kodaikanal is just the place to unwind amidst nature.

Yes, you can rent a scooty or a bike in Kodaikanal. Try asking around near the bus stand.

Per head expenses would really depend on how many people are travelling, the hotel you are staying in, where you are eating, so it is really subjective.
But, in general if you go on a budget, stay in hostels, then I suppose it could be around 5-7k for 2 days.

Yes, as a matter of fact, May-June or sort of the prime months. So, everything will be open for you to visit and enjoy. 😀

Hi , can i visit Kodaikanal,ooty, Coimbatore- Adi yogi shiva staute in August 2023, how is the rainy season there
Hey, we have only covered Kodai so far among the places you have mentioned. However, I do think others will be open too during August. Given monsoons come earlier in the South as compared to the North, by August monsoons would definitely be past their prime, but you can still expect a bit of rain. 😅
I am planning to go there with family so looking for a homestay with great views. Please suggest which area in Kodaikanal offers the best views
Hey, we do not really have recommendations for properties outside of the ones mentioned in the video. Checking the hotels on Google Maps would be your best bet. 😅
Which us the besg mobile network in Kodaikanal?
Hey, almost all of them seem to go on and off. On our trip we had the most success with Jio.
How do you suggest to travel from Kodai railway station to Kodaikannal?
Hey, most convenient option would be to take a direct cab from outside the railway station.
Other option is to take a bus till Batlagundu and the switch the bus for Kodai from Batlagundu.

Nope, you cannot. Not to the best of our knowledge. You have to hike the last part. 😅

Hey, September would mark the end of Monsoons. So, it should be alright.
However, do check the weather prediction before hand in order to avoid rains.
Can we go by our own car? Any difficulties in hill roads or dangerous to self drive as such?
Yes, you can visit by road. The drive is really serene and fun.
You don't need expert skills to drive on hills. But you need to be confident as the last stretch of the road is in hills and you will need to be comfortable on turns and slopes.

We went a decent while back. Don't think it was available then. Your best bet would be to confirm with your hotel/hostel/homestay.
Sir Is there any chances to swim in any of the waterfalls in kodaikanal
Once, the monsoons are underway, I will not recommend swimming in the waterfalls, as it can be dangerous. Before monsoons, Vattakanal falls is one of the falls where you can enjoy in the water. Hope this helps.

In Pokhara, yes there must be. However, I did not take one so I do not have a recommendation per se.

Hey, you can try the various hostels in Kodai. Beyond that I am afraid we do not have much idea.

During our time, we didn't rent a 2-wheeler and do not have a recommendation per se. But there are 2-wheeler rentals. You can find the information through Google search. You should be able to find a couple near the bus stand as well. Hope this helps! 😀

Yes, absolutely. It is a good option too. Especially how some of these places farther than each other, it will definitely help to go at your pace. 🙌

Yes, a Negative RTPCR Test Report is necessary and should not be more than 72 hours old at the time of arrival. Safe Travels! 😁

Yes it is alwasys a great time to visit.
It will be more sunny but pleasant and cool mornings and evenings. Water bodies and surroundings may be a little more drier than usual due to heat.

Yes, you absolutely can. However, you will have to google the rentals. On our trip we didn't use the rentals and do not have a recommendation per se. 😅

Winters are as good a season as any. So, from now until Feb should be quite good! 😀

No man, I couldn't go there personally.
Does there have bike rental available?
Yes, there are bike rentals as well. You can find the same by searching on Google. We, personally do not have any recommendations for that for Kodaikanal.
@@XploreTheEarth no there is no bike rental. Not even auto rickshaw. Cab rates are too high. If you have own vehicle then only go there. By cab is too expensive. If your hiring cab. Then go for package wise. Like they will say these many places this much you have to pay. 14 places 2500 like that.
Is it good idea to go on July to august month
These months will be prone to rain. That would mean some viewpoints will be cloudy and you may not get the best views.
And at times rain can in general be a buzzkill. In that regard, September onwards will be a better time. 🙃
Having said that, if you love rain, then the lush green landscape and waterfalls in full flow can be an experience in itself. So, the choice really comes down to your preference. 😅

Yes, you could rent 2 wheelers in Kodaikanal. Other than that taxis are easily available.
And if you want to keep within budget, then you can check the bus timings, the local buses take you to almost all the places.

Odds are you will not witness rain during that time in Kodaikanal. But with western ghats you never really know. So, be prepared accordingly.
Between Munnar and Kodaikanal, both of them offer some scenic landscapes but my preference will be Kodaikanal, because it offers a wide variety of things that you can do.
