Akrand fort in Soon Valley was built by the men of Raja Tataar Khan in order to defend the areas of Soon and Pakhar. The fort is covered with thick and dense forest. Only one way leads to the fort which is along the way to Kanhatti garden. The fort had stables for horses, residential houses and weapon stores which have now turned into ruins. There is also a grave on the way to the fort which is supposed to be of Raja Tataar’s.
The fort is thought to be of immense historical as well as architectural value for the archaeologists, not to mention the marvelous scenery it holds within itself. We tried to capture the ruins from every angle but they could not be captured the same on the cam. So, anyone who has an interest in history must visit this place himself/herself. A guide is must to visit this place.

I am Awan from soon skesar.
Gillani I am surprised that Awan tribe sought help from sikh to fight against the Raja Tatar.
But I wanna know where the descendants of janjua tribe gone. Presently, Awan tribe predominantly aborded in whole valley. May be they went to the north to kalar kahar or chakwal. Thanks for awareness.
Welcome Sir. According to history, the Awans are not the original inhabitants of the Soon valley, but the occupiers. The Awans helped the Sikhs to eliminate Raja Tartar. At that time the Janjua clan was not powerful enough to help its Raja from outside. You are right that Janjua are still mostly settled in Chakwal and Jhelum.

Gilani Saheb you have just repeated the fairy tales invented by some Janjua historians about Awan and Sikh alliance which the Sikhs themselves do not mention in any of their document. The fake document the Janjua historians use to malign Awans does not exist in any Khushab office, nor in any books written by Sikhs themselves afterwards. Awans and Janjuas did fight for these lands, many years before the Sikhs ever came to this part of Punjab.
I accept all your words. I have told a lot about Awan tribe in my vlog. I said in the presence of a researcher from the Awan community that Awans were an occupation group. If the Awans could make an alliance with the British, they could also make an alliance with the Sikhs as they were fighting for the possession of the Soon valley. All is fair in war and love, so don't be offended by my words.
