the torque converter holds at least 11 quarts of fluid & the trans holds the rest. the carb should already be preadjusted from the manufacture. keep the clips coming

And please replace that freeze plug if it's leaking check all the hoses and put a little RTV gasket sealer on the hoses so they don't leak

you check the trans fluid with it running, and you put gas in the front two barrels not the back!

Put in a bottle of Lucas transfix it helps soften the seals
You can get those same wheels in 16" , 8 bolt... Or some ole White Spoke/Wagon Wheels Always look good on an old pickup!! Great video keep up the good work!!

You need to smell the transmission pan bolts up just a little bit because the transmission gasket leaks a little bit

The trans fluid is low right ? How about putting some in it ? No hydraulic pressure .
I have since topped it off the CORRECT way with it running, it still doesn’t shift. I’m guessing there’s an issue with the vacuum modulator/vacuum line. I have not had time to diagnose. But thank you for your advice.
@@WesFarms you can do it ! My dad had an 1980 Cheyenne 3/4 ton with a 350 and no converter in those days if was over 8,600 gvw. Thats how GM got away with it in the 80's. Great trucks the square bodies.
Did you check to make sure it had oil in the motor otherwise you could have a problem problem if you didn’t check the oil
