I've got a 69 F600 with the 330FT in it. My dad bought the truck back in the early/mid 80's for use on our farm so its been in the family for about 40 years now. We used to load it with wheat until it ran off all four sides of the box and hit the road with it. Regularly went across the scales with 330 bu of wheat in her (20,000 lbs) and that little 330 just pulled like there was no tomorrow. I now use it as my firewood getting truck up in the mountains and she still runs just as sweet as ever.
I talk to myself all the time, it's the only way I get an intelligent conversation.
That is why talking to oneself is a married mans prerogative.
plus..... no one listens to me better than I listen to me AND there are a lot of people , younger it seems, who already Know Everything. :)
@@nellaob4229 As a sexagenarian myself, I empathise.
That's how you learn to fix things is by keeping after it until you figure things out. I bet you fixed a lot of problems that were the reason why the truck was parked in the first place. Nice job.
being a "bulldog" in the mechanical trades is a gift only given to a few! You are one of the few! Keep it up and keep the videos coming. I enjoy watching them!
I am not a car guy, but I swear after watching your videos, I could get any vehicle produced between 1955-1975 running. I'm not saying within a few days, but, BUT, there's a chance! 😂 Thanks again for taking us away from our daily/weekly issues and providing wholesome, entertaining and educational content.
I love this era of ford trucks, great to see this one is saved
It's funny, why you remind me of the way my dad used to do things. He spent almost 30 years working in industry up here, Carter Wallace (they make everything from Arid Xtra Dry deodorant to Trojans) US Pipe, Philadelphia Insulated Wire, Georgia Pacific.. anyway he was a machinist / mechanic / boilermaker and all that and then some.. He pretty much fixed whatever they didn't make parts for anymore. If he needed a part sometimes he'd just have to MAKE it. Well, that's probably why I enjoy watching you so much, brings me back to when my dad and I would fix or build or whatever with machinery. Yessir, men who can do these things are getting harder and harder to find. My brother and I have skills that are in need right now, and the machinists who can operate a lathe and mill by hand are almost long gone. Thank you again, as I always do, for the content!
I for one could listen to that "Goofy talk" all damn day long. 🕒 🌞 "Augh Ya" And we don't mind at all when you're singing 🎶🎤 neither, but a feller needs somethin to sing about instead of hitting his head 🤕 on a hood release, or getting zapped by a hot coil⚡ Chad at first had me subscribing based on accent alone. Imagine how tickled I was to learn what a true Tennessean treasure we have here. "Augh Ya" I'm only half way through the video and anxious to get back to the action so, "Blurp- Blurp" Lets do it
Thanks as always Chad ! 👨🔧 🔧 🔨 Excellent content creator !
I DO ; TALK TO MYSELF WHILE I'M WORKING, THINKING OUT LOUD , KEEPS MY THOUGHTS ON TRACK, HELPS ME STAY FOCUSED.
I guess you are married too!
I love those big work trucks. They were built good back then.
Flippity flappity floppin😂 Idk why but that struck me and I'm crackin up😂😂😂
Just…. Thank you. You so much remind me of home.
I have a 76 f600 and needs some love. Your video will help me. Thanks.
Talking to yourself is ok, the problem is when you disagree with yourself and then give yourself the cold shoulder. That is when people will look at you and say "he ain't right...bless his heart."
On those worn out throttle shafts I have had good luck using bullet shells for bushings. Sounds strange but it's an old timer trick that works, .22lr once you snip the end off is a great brass bushing. I did a video on it with a mower carb and have had success on trucks as well. Great channel you got and I look forward to future episodes!
I'm gonna make or buy bushings for it and another one.
That's a good idea, i save all my brass, even the .22 shells. I'll definitely remember this trick!
@@bobbywright2100 people like you amaze me. Don’t like it turn it off but don’t be an ass
That used to watch you gotta make sure it's true Craftsman because anyone can go to the o'reilly's or online and bolt on new part but it takes a real mechanic to like what you got at work it's like my grandpa's a good friend I want to Franklin 6601 and I have another and make it work and also my Uncle Jack you can fix an engine with this quick and play on wire
At least that's what it seemed to ask grown up as teenagers kids watching both of them work was a real education and I really experienced that I carry with me part of them the rest of my life
Short of removing the tank and steam cleaning it, there is no way to stop all that fine rust from clogging the pickup. I had the problem with another truck, and I temporarily solved the problem by draining the rust out, and attaching some magnets to the tank. The temporary fix worked so well, that I never did pull the tank.
Great entertainment. You would make a great auto shop teacher . Thanks for sharing this adventure . Stay safe , and get a big wet blanket to keep near by so you can smother an engine fire .
He has too many fingers
Awesome job getting that truck running
You are a great mechanic. Keep up the hard work brother.
Chad, your becoming my favorite CZcams channel. When you want a expert opinion on something you have to talk to yourself.
Preshate that. 👍
Man is sure love to have all the buildings that guy has . I’d have old farm trucks and tractors tucked in everywhere. I love them all to turn trucks. I’ve got a couple F 600s myself and I watch marketplace daily for the next possible purchase.
OK, you have GOT to try to get this guy to let you work on that 64 Impala setting in the weeds!! Great video, love those old Farm Trucks.
They say that people that talk to themselves have a better thought process and have better chances of success
One cool work truck
There is not one ounce of quit in you.Thats a rare quality in people today..I also know if that truck breaks down you will be over at that farmers and fix it free of charge.
Seen old car run again is another satisfying 💖
I have put the new and improved brake line in the place of rubber factory line and everything has worked good. I’m talking about even the front brake lines that move with the steering of the front wheels Side to side. saved ALOT OF mONEY and can’t believe how flexible this “new style bendable plyable brake line u don’t have to have the traditional bender to make those bends. I believe it’s copper line but it could b something else.
Really enjoy watching your video's. You are very funny and you laugh at yourself, i laugh at myself to, and i also talk to myself, don't feel bad. seemed you have been blessed with alot of skills fixing things.May the Lord keep you and Bless you always brother.
I like old cars and tucks
I laugh like heck watching your videos. Thanks for doing what you do!
Wow. Lots. Of. Work. Truck. Sounds. Good. Thanks
Great work as usual buddy! I run a standalone fuel filter setup on my old chevy that uses that same filter. The part number is GF-157. I usually order mine online and I get them for about $10 to $15 shipped. Hope this helps someone out.
I enjoyed watching .cant wait for next project
Chad you are the greatest I look forward to seeing your videos every week
There is a bushing replacement kit for the Holly and Quadrajet carbs, that is available on ebay. The kit includes the long shaft reamer and the bushings. Easy peasy.
well done sorting out the ord!
“Wooshers” I been sayin it wrong the whole time. Love your content man, keep up the great work
That was a long hard job but in the end you got going and I am glad you did the old truck looks to be in good shape over all hopefully they get more use out of it
They have tea motorhead, bigger, oiling passages, and heavier crankshaft and smaller, combustion chamber heads. That is a learned from Fowler on here that’s got one of those 1 ton trucks like that.
Well done I would not of thought that tiny bit of play would caused that
Great video and as always great troubleshooting the issues through! Always looking forward to what's next. Blessings and respect to the grind and hustle!
Well done, feller. That was a trial. 🇬🇧👍
This was great and I learned so much from this video. Thanks for sharing the ups and downs that you experienced on this project. She sounds great and should be a really good farm truck for quite a while.
loving the nice long videos please keep them coming . thank you
That was all very interesting, informative and fun to watch. Thanks for the ride.
Those f 600 and 750 trucks were good hard working trucks but they just bout all of them for some reason would run good till u got it under a load and it would act like the points were bad but it was always the dist.shaft lose u could grad it at top and move it back and forth I changed many one no matter low or high miles
Nice work that thing runs smooth👍
top notch as usually my good sir! Amazing how sensitive the carb was to the play in throttle shaft your found.
Great job and great video!
Seems that this farm holds some surprises, like a treasure chest...
👍👍👍
Your skills will be needed when the world goes full on Mad Max.
I might dream of that happening from time to time. 🤣

HI Chad, great work again, being patient helps as you found the problem with the carby through the process of elimination- well done. have fun. Hello again from New Zealand
Nice job on the old ORD. I was blown away seeing some of the cars that man has just sitting out in the field.
I'm no mechanic by any stretch, But I really enjoy watching you work on those vehicles your quite comical .

Determined to get the job done.
And entertaining while doing it. Good content yet again.

I felt your pain when you dropped that part under the hood and into the grass beneath. Super hard to find and if you can even find it! Great video and I always learn something new.
That is a commercial Ford motor it is a 352 block. It's at a family motor . 330 361 391 . I know this isn't old video . I enjoyed watching you keep up the good work . And thanks for sharing ! 😊
I wouldn't think that amount of play in the butterfly shaft would make that much of a difference. Like you said, I've seen worse run okay. I learn something new every day! Thanks for the excellent videos!
Thanks for the entertainment and edjumacation! Real life adventure!
I talk to my self all the time I need expert advice 😃
Kind of a roller coaster ride, thanks.
That’s a great video, got er running! Take Care, Your Oregon Friend ☮️
There was a blue truck in this video I recognized. Seems like a feller fought with it in another video I watched a while back.
Injoyed the vid ..got it sorted..
Those ORDS sure do fight with you pops. Good to see it was just a carburetor. Keep up the great work and I will keep on watching
Good vid! I always try to use old parts before buying new. 👌👌
great job . I learned a few things
Of course I talk to myself when I work on things. Sometimes I need expert advice. 😂😂
That was a uphill battle from the start, but when it's done and running properly the sensation is as good as it gets. You solved the problem for two trucks, whats better than that. Looking forward to the next one Stu in Canada.........................
This is turning into one of my favorite channels. Keep up the great work!
Great work, perseverance paid off. I live in Ireland and ironically we don't have O'Reilly's here unfortunately.
How ironic is that???
Good job!👍

ORD stands for “ORD-ER” new parts😉! Great video, love watching YOU work👍👍👍👍
You found all the reasons it was parked! I do agree that engineers need to assemble and disassemble everything they design! Great video as always! Again there is nothing too hard for you! 💪👍🙏👊 PS would have been nice if the owner had told ya upfront that there was water in the tank! 😂
I’ll bet gasoline was being stolen!
Love your videos good learning experience 👍
Nice work,
