How to reset "Oil Change Required" Indicator - Ford Focus SE

Simple, Easy tutorial on HOW TO RESET FORD FOCUS SE OIL CHANGE LIGHT! Works on 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018 Ford Focus SE Models! BE SURE TO GET THE OIL CHANGED BEFORE THE RESET! Make sure the car is off, click the key to the right twice (engine should NOT turn over), press both gas and brake petals firmly. Hold until "Oil reset in progress" text disappears to the "Complete" text. Remove pressure from petals, and start car! Thanks for watching! God Bless America.

it may be based on milage when you SHOULD change your oil. That depends on what type of oil (synthetic or semi-synthetic etc.). I would make sure to take proper maintenance otherwise it greatly decreases the life of the transmission and engine. So yes it is drivable if the light comes on, but do please change the oil when it is due lol!

Probably time or distance... maybe they forgot to reset it when you did get the oil changed.

Your car is "ON." You have powered it on with the key. You did not START the engine. An engine is not "turned on," it is "started." But thank you for the rest of the process.

It doesn’t work on start/stop mode but I found out that with start/stop system you need to switch on and press gas and break for 25 seconds
