Part of the anger problem that is tearing our country up right now is that we have one of the poorest mental health scores of all developed countries. We are beginning to be led into a better place by the younger, wiser generation.
If your heart is sick no one questions going to a cardiologist, these wise souls are showing us that when our emotions or feelings are ill or out of balance we also need to seek treatment.

When athletes are distracted by concerns other than what they need to do in their sport, then they are less likely to perform at their best. If we want the best for athletes that represent our country, then we must talk and prioritize mental health.

What's really obviously a shame ,, how many decades have we had athletes that could deal with the stresses of being an athlete, but we are in a completely different stressful world it's so sad that an athlete's performance most likely is affected because of the way the world is 😩

Social media is cause of a lot of it. I wish it would go away. It's ruining humanity. I mean it's always been a lot of pressure but add in social media and it's overwhelming. Everybody has an opinion and you are either loved or hated and both brings a lot of pressure.

Honestly, I think Simone Biles’ strength to say that she couldn’t compete to focus on her mental health helped all these athletes in the following Olympics.

gracie, coffee inhibits trypsin, a key protein digestion enzyme.... athletes need efficient protein digestion and assimilation, which coffee disables, and also influences gut biome constituents.... yes, the bugs that make you feel good don;t thrive with coffee consumption on the level you appear to participate......

Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, but a good word makes it glad. - Proverbs 12:25
Well, what’s the good word? The good word is the “Word of God.” Stress, anxiety, and depression come from the cares of this life. It can weigh the heart down and does. However, there is a source which streams fail not. The Bible is the River of living water which the soul truly desires. Jesus Christ is above all our problems and is in full control. Right now, Jesus is in His Holy Mountain and this earth is His footstool. “You were, you are, and you’ll be forever. The king enthroned in Glorious splendor.” How amazing! “You keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you” As a society, we don’t need a pill to fix our depression, but the Word. It fixes the deepest parts of our heart which no pill can do. Some people smoke as an outlet to get their fix. The true fix is prayer and coming to Jesus. You want peace? Come to the Prince of Peace; Jesus Christ. As Isaiah discusses, “why do you spend your money on that which is not bread, and your labor on that which does not satisfy.” The things in this world do not satisfy and the soul delights in rich spiritual food. By it, we are renewed daily and we can have a true relationship with Jesus. Thus, fleeing from the world and following Jesus. Repent (die to sin) and believe in the Gospel which can save your soul. Jesus died for your sins and on the third day rose from the dead. If you confess with your mouth, Jesus Christ is Lord and believe in your heart God raised Him on the third day, you will be saved.

Really? NZ just lost one of its brightest young rugby hopefuls who did what no other player before him had done - scored five tries in a top level game. He took his life at 25. Maybe you could step back from your arrogance and see it might be fear of not being able to continue to be so perfect at that level because of the pressure from people like you. RIP Sean Wainui
