Good to hear Pete's views on Taihoro.
Agree it is. Let’s hope he is in Spain broadcasting the races.
Shot Marty for the interview with the great Peter Lester. Must be getting close. Hope to hear more America's Cup content. ⛵️🇳🇿🏆
How about a boat with an English name for a change. Blake?
That’d be a great idea if you wanted to further alienate TNZ from the country it purports to represent
@@jameslittlewood7821 Isn't constantly choosing Maori names alienateing the Pakeha. What's your take James?
@@listeningto8371 no. Māori stuff (tikanga) is the only unique feature of New Zealand. Take that away and all you’re left with is little Britain in the south seas, which nobody in their right mind will ever get excited about.
In an international study, when asked to say the first thing that comes into their head in association with New Zealand, the haka was the single most frequently mentioned thing.
Unless you want the ETNZ crew performing ka mate ka mate on the foredeck of taihoro before every race, the name is THE only thing that intrinsically identifies the boat as being of this place.

Goods news. Potheads Anonymous are recruiting right now!

Don’t be silly..
Why does everything in New Zealand today have to have a Maori name that nobody understands what it means !! From boats to shopping malls to Libraries to schools everything is gone woke. Why not just a English name for something !!
Are you Australian or something?
To Learn..
@@leigholding1397 Learn what?
@@listeningto8371 Learn about the history, heritage and culture of this country. Don't be so ignorant. Most nations on Earth have places named in the native language of that country. From Australia, to Europe, to Japan, to Asia/ China, to the Middle East etc. I guess for you, ignorance is bliss.
@@Arms26 Born in Taupo you knob!
NZ has already lost
Why call it Team NZ.?
It's Dalton's traitor toy.
I suspect Dalton might have had more chance of raising funds in this country if he had renamed the team Te Waka o Aotearoa.
Talk sense you stupid person
