The movie was so far ahead of its time it’s not even funny. I am over 31 and even I am still impressed by how accurate this movie is to present day.

Set in the world of The Animatrix, it tells a story/stories about the horrifying, brutal, mysterious, rage and emotions between men and machines. Such beauty of an anime anthology is so Dark and Mature that audience like myself will never get enough of its authenticity, plus such creation was very impressively way ahead of its time! The artwork, the stories, the discovery, oh man..... No anime films and styles (at least in my dictionary) will ever come close to this masterpiece! I love and miss The Animatrix so much!

As Cypher once stated, is it truly freedom? Sure the world itself is an illusion, but the alternative? Living in a dead world, fighting a losing war against machines.
It is kind of depressing that in reality, everyone here including Yoko is just living in a pod, fully sedated and in an induced coma, mentally living in a world that doesn't truly exist). Well, except the agent, though he is just a program meant to help keep order and stability in this matrix.
