- There are so many events in Guild Wars 2, and some of them can generate more gold than others. If you are confused about which one to farm, here is a list of meta events that can generate the most gold per hour for you, up to 50 if you are wondering.
I have listed some from each expansion and living world so that you have something to do regardless of what you have unlocked. These are probably some of the better ways to make gold in Guild Wars 2 in 2023, and will probably still be the case as we go into 2024.

Great video! The only suggestion I would make is that when you are choosing your daily chest reward from Dragon's End, you should choose the Ancient Summoning Stone, the profit is much higher than jade runestones
Ooo I missed that, thanks for pointing out!
Always grab dat A.S.S!
Thank you! Great video, subscribed
Thanks for the sub!
Thanks for sharing always! Keep it up!!
Anytime! ✌️
My average 2 hours a day playtime = T4’s + Rec’s + Priority Strikes + Drizzelwood + Dragonfall. This gets roughly 40 > 50 gold.
Working on Nevermore right now, so Matt’s are as important as liquid gold. So some days I take less profit and keep the Matt’s I need.
Also to keep things fresh & not just grind for gold - I could do world bosses - pof bounties - wvw - rifts - map completion etc - whatever is fun on the day.
Rule of thumb in GW2, if you feel its a chore, stop doing it, and do content that you find fun. You're doing great there :D
@@xGuiders Exactly because you can make money everywhere really. You can even make good money from gathering things like Iron ore nodes, Platinum ore, some wood-types and some herb nodes.
I stopped doing metas altogether more or less. My daily routine is Dragonstorm/Drakkar + chest run and Echovald 4 big chests for the runestones(30 mins for everything)....after I just fuck around in WvW and have fun.
Which reminds me, I really need to get back into WvW, missing all the fun
I wonder how this numbers are calculated. 50g/hour on dragonfall? Do you consider the time we need to spent getting keys or only the final boss + champ train? I do almost all those metas everyday and I don't net anything near what youre saying
These numbers are considering you already have the keys to run through the champ train, as when I attempted this, I already had120 keys lying around from when we had to do so much shit in this map for the Skyscale.
Sold everything, got trophy shipments with the volatile magic I got for running a whole hour of this, and made around 47g
Remember queen's dale champion farm
OHHH WOWW, You took me wayyy back
I think the Living World season 4 meta's and Eod meta's are the more lucrative ones.. As you said, Volatile Magic is such a valuable currency and then so is Imperial Favours because you can craft precursor weapons with the "Blessing of the Jade Empress" items.
After doing a lot of research on those currencies last couple of days, i gotta heavily agree
@@xGuiders Aye but it's a fantastic thing that you can make money everywhere else. Heck.. You can even make good money by just gatthering stuff like Iron, Platinum, some tree-types or Desert Herb nodes.
hmm, not sure if i'm doing something wrong. i made the Palawadan and GH metas, picked up all the chests, looted everything, opened all bags but unindentified gear (wich i sold directly because i'm lazy) sold all the bags i opened content. and even used the gained volatile magic to buy thropy boxes for extra t6 mats wich i also sold and i only gained 9g. nowhere near the 20-40g you mention.was i doing something wrong? my current magic find is 209%
Those numbers are accounted after selling every mat you get from the chests and metas.
Also opening the unidentified to maximize the rare drops for more ectos and selling those. And also accounting the volatile magic trophies that you already got.
I attempted this farm with 290% magic find pre buffs and I average around 20g, and others where I came near the 33g mark cz I got lucky with exotic drops
*The gold values from the meta events in this video are subjected to change based on the trading post prices of items unique to them.
For example: Jade Runestone TP price has seen drops below Amalgamated Gemstone so at times the AG can be a better choice.
