What a rocket he had. Brillianr finisher. Premiership was MUCH better in those days. You can hardly imagine a midtable or even lover table team having this kind of quality nowadays. And Boro weren't the only team that had that. Now the midtable teams are so boring, only there to scrap a point here or there from a bigger teams. This Boro team PLAYED against the biggest teams and was able to beat them.
I live in Holland but my dad was born and bred in Middlesbrough. I remember the first boro gams he took me to on ayresome road. I must have been 11 or 12 years of age. Pallister,Mobray,Slaven and them lot were the team back then. Since that night i was boro all the way. Still go and watch them now and again. UTFB
Why cant we bring in players like that anymore. The big spending as ruined football. Why I prefer to watch the championship everyone has a chance. But Middlesbrough deserve to be in premiership
Seems unfathomable that Boro once had a strike partnership of Hasselbaink, Yakubu and Viduka. It'd be like having Kane, Son and Sadio Mane rocking up today. Literal Golden Boot winners or near-winners going from Champions League teams to play for a team that won one major trophy in its entire history. Midfield of Parlour, Juninho, Mendieta, Boateng and Zenden was tasty too.

Jimmy was a damn dynamic one of the best head player I have seen. He should have given more opportunity for the national team.
