When preparing ME always we turn the gear ar ahead position. Nobody turns it at astern position. So if the cam is at astern position and if we turn the gear at ahead position this is not good for cams.
@@joseheraldflorese9159 So in every cylinder must be one separate piston to move the fuel cam follower of its unit? As on 42MC model, I remember only one piston on the entire engine for all fuel cam followers

Hi do you know why the main engine must be in ahead position before stopping the engine(finish with engine)?
this is the customary procedure of engineers after finishing the engine because the turning of engine is always ahead.
Rotating the engine in ahead while cam position in astern is bad for the engine.

@@akarl6578 exactly, every cylinder has different timing, therefore they should have differnt cam piston each.
