It’s been awesome watching you progress through the sport. But one of your final key notes you spoke of is most important as a paddler… love and live the time in your boat, don’t get stuck on working on cross draws, bracing… live those moments good and bad you have on the water and the less you think about what you’re doing the faster your skills will develop.
I worked the center during the 2008, 2009 seasons and it’s crazy to see how much the center has developed. Next time if you can watch the water come on and see how the features are formed by the under currents. That helped me a ton on understanding what makes a hole a hole and a glass wave… choosing my lines through rapids etc

What's with the tape on the boat and the roll mats on the paddle? No High-n-Drys left in store?

The tape on the boat is to help protect against the concrete, it’s super abrasive there. It’s a common thing that a lot of boaters there do! And the roll mats are actually pogies that roll up to store nicely on the paddle so that I don’t have to worry about forgetting them! :)

We are planning a trip there here pretty soon. Do they change the water level at all during the day? Or do they change the features at all during the day?
The features don't change very often, usually some minor changes from season to season. That being said, water levels do change, as there are "Big Water" events that happen on a weekly basis! Thanks for watching :)
