Save Pringle cans for your crackers. Keeps them from being crushed
So smart! Great idea!
Great point. Could cover the outside with shelf paper.
Our Dollar Store has backpacks for $1.25. I packed a “trip bag” for each grandchild with snacks , drinks, and a toy or two. They enjoy having their own, and it keeps them occupied. I also used them once when we were in a tornado alert and had to go to an interior room for a while. They were too interested in their pack to be worried!🥴
What a great idea, you are a wonderful grandparent!
Awesome suggestion for the backpacks from the dollar store for a trip bag. Our grandkids would like them. These would have been great when we had them during spring break.
I beefed up what I take with me in an extra bag because my sister and I needed to stay in a hospital overnight with our brother last week. I didn't have my car with my emergency necessities, (food, jacket, etc.), and she had a new one that she hadn't put any extras into as yet. We got blankets from the nurses, but there was only junk food in the machines. Since we did not expect to be there that long, (we had been afraid to leave earlier), the cafeteria and local eateries were closed. I now have a bag that I am taking with healthy snacks, jackets and anything else I could need, no matter where I go or who I go with, or wherever I might be stuck.
How big th e darling kids are getting!
You're wise to do so
@@yukonsmomma3562 If we had had my car,or my sister had switched things to her new car, we would have done better. This, and amwater-main break a couple of months ago were nice 'dry runs" (no pun intended) for SHTF
I hope your family is recovering well. Your experience is exactly why we need to prepare. Anything can happen. SHTF can be personal, yet real.
@@AlaskaGranny Thank you
Pop tarts...they heat up well on the dashboard when the heater is on. Tuna foil packets..the seasoned ones that have a fork
Awesome idea on heating food
In the photo you had a box of baggies next to your crackers. It made me wonder if you could use an empty baggie box or plastic wrap box to put the sleeve of crackers in to keep them more protected.
Really good idea
I like yogurt covered peanuts. They taste really good and and are healthy.
Some real good ideas on this video. another tip: buy some of the Lance peanut butter and crackers. Individual packets too!
I keep this kind of stuff in my office drawer for times I forget my lunch, need a boost in the afternoon, or a co-worker needs something to eat.
I'm on a medium size island and don't go far but still have three days food and water stowed in the truck..as well as clothes, bedding bathroom, cooking ECT
An accident, fire or rock fall, flash flood downing trees can close a major road and there is no alternative route all three happen here
My gallon snak bags have a few more grown up things like instant coffee 🤣🤠 also have a grab and go temperature sensitive bag with tare open Indian food, tuna, and my fruit cups of course..
great reminder video 👍
Beef jerky and cheese sticks are good shelf stable proteins.
This is great timing! We had a tornado warning and flood watch last night and I live about 500 metres from a canal so evacuation is always a possibility
Have you got your get out bag ? AG has some great lessons on that
@@Jazbo777 I have my go bag by the door one for me one for my dog. I keep a bag with stuff for both of us in my car as well. AG offers amazing tips and tricks. LOVE the channel!!
Sorry to hear that, stay safe!
I keep a hard core bag in the car with hard tack and water, and other stuff that can take exteme heat. Then i have a pack hanging inside the house by the door to the garage that has other less hard core grab and go stuff
I grab it and bring in and out so it's not sitting in my 130% car for long periods of time. The water i keep long term in my car is in glass or stainless steel to avoid cooking plastic into the water. I also keep 2 three liter plastic bottles for vehicle emergency or hygiene.
Great idea to have it hanging in the garage.
Your MRE videos are a great way to learn how to make cheaper on the go meals that are complete nutrition. I like the kid ones and the adult ones are easy to grab and make even if the power is off or on. You're such a sweet, kind person ML&BLSNGS :) staysafe.
Thank you for your kind comment.
These ideas are super cute😂 I just got tiny little french apricot jams because they are cute. My favorite things are aeroplane food packets, hospital food packets and hotel packets. I save some of these for my picnic basket stash. When I was 16, I went to Europe and took heaps of the little alcohol bottles from the plane. I took them to my year 10 camp and along with my hidden cigarettes, I thought I was so cool. 😂😂
Thanks for the info AG
Good ideas , thanks for sharing , God bless !
You are so welcome!
Handy if you get stuck in traffic for hours.
Or if your car breaks down. AAA and other services can't always get to you in a timely manner.
What great ideas for 3 day food packs.
Never knew you could get Yogurt pouches, I'll have to hunt for those in UK.
I remember STICKERS, they we're everywhere. Lol.
Beautiful scenery too.
TFS AG, take care & keep really busy everyone. ❤️🙂🐶
I think the shelf stable yogurts are a real game changer. If I didn't have grandchildren, I wouldn't know about them.
@@AlaskaGranny Yes, they're such a good idea, even for Picnics & Packed Lunches.👍❤🙂🐶
Great idea! Your grand children are so cute!
Thank you so much!
Thanks Alaska Granny ❤
Great video! I'm going to add jerkey/cheese stick combo and trail mix. Dollar tree also has the freeze dried fruit that are so good!
Great idea!!
AG: I bet that really comes in handy with those darling grandchildren. Mine are older but i think they'll appreciate the same thing if i customize them. Great Idea.👍🤗
Great suggestions! Thank you!
Glad you like them!
I just purchased some of those GoGo Applesauce packs. Both of my granddaughters loved them.
Thx AG for the great ideas.
You are so welcome!

You are so kind, thanks!
All great suggestions AG!
Thanks so much!
The shelf stable yogurt sounds awesome, and we're gonna have to see if our dollar tree has them. That way I could stock up over winter.
I don't think all the items she was showing were all from Dollar Tree. I bought some GoGo applesauce from the grocery store.
Thank you for making video.
My pleasure!

Hi AG... thanks for these snack ideas. A great variety 😊
You are so welcome!
Good looking grandkids. O can see where they get their good looks. Great video as usual. Thank you
So nice of you!
I’m so happy to see you making more good memories with your grandkids. Time flies by so fast.
All those snacks are terrific 😃
…I wish my grandkids were still little.
Thank you so much. They do grow so fast. Little girl likes to say, "I need space!"
What about adding a pouch of tuna or one of those chicken salad kits? Your grandchildren are adorable,!
Great ideas.
Hello AG from Mississippi
Try to find freeze dried long term foods too. You want long lasting shelf stable stuff. Blessings and thank you Alaska Granny!
Freeze dried are great options. These are for open and eat.
Great video. I would add 2 clean peanut butter jars of kibble n 1 of mini milk bone😊
Hi AG. Your sunglasses make you look like you are wearing a halo. It suits you.😇❤
😂👍
great tips
Glad it was helpful!
Great video!
Thanks!
Chef Boyardee makes individual 7.5oz. microwavable Beef A Roni. with 8 grams of protein per container.
Good morning, some great ideas!!! just be careful with those squeeze packs, I always squeeze them out now because the applesauce one, I found mold it...the date was still like a year out. so now I squeeze into a bowl or something, ( or a ziplock would work if out) have a wonderful day!!
Thanks for the warning.
Hi, AG. Great ideas:)
Thank you! 😊
Hit another one out of the park, AG!
This is a great idea! I'm gonna put some together for my kids
Please do!
A little late in seeing this. For any age if you have the space and weight allowance available is the carnation grab and go breakfast drinks of desired flavor(s) and cups of favorite dry cereal. I do believe that having familiar and normal, especially with food, is a great benefit when in an unusual or stressful situation that may otherwise be out of a person’s control. In your example with young children having the foods they like, and have eaten before, definitely works towards that. With my possible addition I would maybe try something like in a good time, “for a treat (maybe once a month) you can have this special strawberry milk in your fruit loops” . Would test if they would eat it and provide something positive whether a situation arrives or not. Perception and attitude
Thanks for the ideas.
I am soarly unprepared in this area of a open & eat snack pack grab & go. Glummy Raining gray day in sw Fla so tomorrows a Dollar Store day. Tks
Do a little at a time.
Thank you for your video.
AGGHHH!!!!
Sorry, I'm allergic to children.
And the greatest thing about children is, they are not mine. I can give them back!
Sorry, my curmudgeon is showing.
Keep up the great work and good luck.
Thanks for sharing!!
Also keep snacks like this in the car as a food supply if caught in bad weather. Add beef sticks or shelf stable pepperoni at Dollar Tree.😊 Be safe.
Sorry to interrupt, but it is important to stock a bunch of these , if you have a family of 4 , you are going to need 20 or more of these to last 3 or 4 days
Yes, 3 per person is how I plan.
But what does the Bible say about helping them? Even if they are the grasshopper and we are the ant don't we have to help them?
The message of Jesus and the apostle Paul is that we do not show love when we enable others to sin or not grow spiritually. Showing love is not just pleasing people. If by “helping” someone, we enable them to sin, then we are not showing love because we have encouraged them to sin and “do nothing.”
