If letterboxing is on with full screen it dosen't cause input lag If u only run letterboxing and no full screen its going to lag because of windows aero that cant be disabled in windows 10

i'm so used to the settings in a lot of rhythm games and also the latency from my laptop that i capped the game at 240 fps to get the latency so that i can maintain my accuracy without everything hitting early due to too little latency

I'd say that they added some soft touches with the new update and I actually REALLY preferred the old hard feel. Turning off some of the settings helped, but I still don't like the slight glow and different fade that it uses now compared to the previous Osu. I don't see any additional fixes outside of the Osu option ones.

Increasing the virtual memory doesn't really help you that much, sometimes it just hurts your performance by the increase in latency that comes from using a slow hard drive as swap memory, above all of it Osu uses little to no memory at all, so you better off not even enabling it, want better frames for real? Follow everything you saw until 5:30, then in the same tab as the performance settings in "Visual Effects" check adjust for better performance, back on Osu lower your resolution to a point where you're still comfortable with, if you're using a tablet just download custom drivers and Voila, your frames will automagically go through the roof.

Is it just me, or when i put raw input on (i play on mouse) my movement feels laggy, weird and just unstable. Unchecking raw imput for me works the best.
same i dont know if i have it on but im trying to find the original setting for mouse sensitive but when i saw ur comment i when to check and it feel btw doesnt feel heavy

Of coarse all these are subjective to the player. I prefer to have some visability of the background and effects as I mainly go my rythm anyway and as a new player being a week or so im not too worried about quick jumps and sliders that require complete darkness to focus.

Why should you disable raw input if you have a tablet?
I noticed that certain songs (coincidentally slower?) make my mouse feel like the sensitive increased. My accuracy is fine still, so I just wanted to look for confirmation. Thanks!

Universal offset is not personal preferrence too? For someone it have to be adjust. For example me using peppy offset calibrator i have -20ms and now its good

2500-4000kbps: 720p/60fps
~6000kbps: 1080p60fps
3. use veryfast cpu preset

9. audio. use stereo and 44.1kbps or 48kbps if you want marginally better quality. recommend 44.1
baka. set the desktop audio and mic audio to your defaults

set base resolution to the resolution of your monitor, and scaled resolution to either 1280x720 (720p) or 1920x1080 (1080p) or 1600x900 (900p)

use bicubic. lancszos sucks
also in hotkeys choose a good streaming hotkey
in advanced, set process priority to high, renderer to direct3d 11, color format to nv12, color space to 709, color range to partial (it's web safe)

the 2017 osu backgrounds are much better than the newer ones. idk why it even had to be changed. wait, i could just replace the osu!ui.dll file. i dont have an account on bancho anyway so ive got nothing to lose.

Ya so a tip for my laptop players. Ik it doesn't make any sense but it works. If you have a dedicated GPU on your laptop as well as integrated graphics, (most Intel processors have that) run the game on the Integrated graphics. Idk why it works, but the way osu! Works and is optimized, you get a huge and I mean over a 100fps increase.

why is my screen brightness become dark everytime i close osu e e eee
IDK why but I have an Nvidia 940mx and whenever I change my gpu from integrated to Nvidia, it completely shits on osu. It gives lag spikes and it stutters like hell so I'm forced to switch back to the integrated gpu. IDK how to fix this even with vertical sync turned off
REMachina i also have this issue. I have a gaming laptop with 1050ti and apparently osu is not supported with nvidia optimus which causes lag spikes to our game :<
By turning on compatibility mode in osu, the issue was fixed but my latency is stable at 2.3-2.4 ms

@@isellgimbap laptops with integrated and dedicated gpus have issues when playing osu so osu recommends to turn on compatibility mode for nvidia optimus.
The dedicated gpu needs to move the rendered frames to integrated gpu because your monitor is connected to integrated gpu and both gpus work together in order to output the frames
Using igpu in osu causes lag for me so I run the game through my 1050ti set in the nvidia settings and windows settings
â@@isellgimbap osu supports all Nvidia GPUs it just that gaming laptops that has integrated GPUs have problem regarding rendering frames.
No, streamers use their dedicated graphics card (if they have dedicated gpu) when they are playing. (I am talking to PC side)

I use Windows 7 and I want know if I can configure the operative system of the same mode that you explain in tthe article with the screenshots. When I clicked "No paging file", and then I clicked "Set" button in the virtual memory settings, there's a message saying that if I disable the paging file and the system error occurs, Windows might not record details that could help identify thr problem.
Also, I'm kinda confused with the "custom size" option (in the virtual memory settings).
I'm using a laptop that has 8 GBs of RAM, around 800 GBs of HDD's available space (total is 1 TB), and a Nvidia GPU. What should I do?
