I read somewhere that after Robin Gibb passed away Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake wanted to retire the skit out of respect. Barry Gibb said it brought joy to him and Robin and to continue doing it. That says a lot about the kind of man he is.

I'm having a Barry Gibb Talk Show Marathon and this was my first time watching this episode. My heart jumped seeing the actual Barry Gibb in the skit ❤️
I know he's had an awesome life but I feel bad that he lost his brothers so young. He seemed to love performing so much.

This episode is Priceless, with real Madonna and real Barry G. Fantastic. I have never been a great fan of Fallon but this is perfect and truly respectable fantastic performance. WOW. Good for you Jimmy.

I don't know why people knock Fallon, he's so talented and can be really funny. I guess people just jump on the trendy 'his laugh is fake' bandwagon.

Jimmy deserves some credit for his dedication to the song, he didn't get greedy & show off his range, he sang his part for the team.
...Jimmy's vocal range is actually impressive, he used to do musical impressions in his early standup, & he can effortlessly hit the highs.. Team player there 👏
Dont care what they say about him but Jimmy is absolute star in these sketches.. 🤣🤣 and Barry Gibb popping up at the end is just so awesome

“She takes me like a wild horse”. 🤣🤣🤣 But then the real Barry appeared to joy with J&J which brought screaming and utmost joy for the audience. It just brought years to my eyes. So heartwarming and so uplifting. Best skit ever.🙏🙏🙏⭐️✨🌈🌈😇😇

I don't know what is more amazing about this skit. The fact that the first time they did it was over 10 years ago and do this once every two or three years and you can watch all 6 episodes back to back and they look like they were done within weeks of each other. Or the fact that they don't do this skit more often. Damn funny.

This is definitely one of the best and funniest skit ideas SNL has ever come up with. The first time I ever saw it when they started doing it years ago I totally cracked up. It was just unique and hilarious.

Great to have Barry appear at the end but its kind of sad to see him alone. It must have crossed his mind for once to think how amazing it would have been had Robin been alive. Wonder how emotional he must have been to see someone impersonating his late brother.
Actually, Robin was still alive during this recording. Check out the interview where both Barry and Robin were guests at the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, they discuss this very sequence during the interview.

Before you kind of justifiably write off Madonna as being too far up her own hole - notice what she does at the skit's conclusion when Barry effin Gibb actually comes out on stage. She gets down on a fucking knee, whips out her phone, and starts recording the legend like a fan girl. She still remembers how cool he was when she was growing up and she chucks her own fame out the window to get him on film before he's gone.
This is the best I have seen from Fallon. Too funny.
