The idea that Barry Gibb randomly goes into falsetto in his normal conversation voice just like he does in Bee-Gees songs is the funniest thing SNL has ever come up with.
Bro, he is trying not to laugh. That is Jimmy Fallon trying not to laugh😂
@@brett-1261 No. Have you never heard a Bee-Gees song?
LMMFAO!!! I literally DID laugh my motherfucking ass off at these skits!! I totally agree..
Oh my gosh, I could NOT agree more. I watch this every once in a awhile whenever I need cheering up.
Haha definitely
The fact that Barry and his brother said they loved this makes it so much greater.
No way? Cool I always wondered about that
@@scottpennington5686 Barry is in the end of the last sketch they ever did of this.
Love this skit, Love Love the Bee Gees!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Robin gibb said imitation is the best form of being flattened
How could they not?
Justin's understated blank stare of a crushed and obedient younger brother is absolute perfection.
Have you seen him out with his wife. he has had plenty of practise.
Justin is great. Nice guy, super talented.

With Fallon's history of breaking character, I really don't know how he managed through this skit, it's one of the funniest 😂
If you actually watched him on SNL when he would do imitations he wouldn’t break.. That was definitely his best acting
Totally Fallon is amazing sng Justin kills me
It's right up there with the Chris Farley Chippendale skit!
The way Jimmy randomly breaks into a falsetto melody gets me everytime lol
For no apparent reason 😂!
Yeh, i'll be doing it for a couple days now. Been a couple years since i watched this. 😄
I watch this sketch every couple of months.
it gets justin every time too apparently lol
Its fascinating, jimmy is putting in an insane amount of energy, and not cracking at all
This is the best sketch Jimmy Fallon ever did.
Definitely!! I'm in tears!!🤣😂😝
@@cristodimarti201 of jimmy fallon? The ones with Rachel! The teens from boston is cute and debbie downer is reallyyyy funny (specificly the disney one that Lindsey Lohan is in even though jimmy laughs. I think those are the funniest skits he is in though...
Zenny- it was hilarious but my favorite is the Family Feud skit where Fallon played the two Travoltas.
I agree Jimmy Fallon is hilarious in this skit.
That & him playing the drums "reaper" with Christopher Walken making " gold records"
Timberlake's coolness makes me sick. Dude is gifted. He dials it down and lets Fallon shine and still manages to be the guy.
The one time Fallon can keep it together, everyone else is struggling so hard lol, this is hilarioud
Maybe because there is no one trying to break him 😂😂
Yeah this is far and away the best sketch Fallon ever did. He didn't break and the concept is actually entertaining.
meledor good point😂but he does laugh at everything lol
smward87 agreed!!
isn't it ironic 😂
I am 82 yrs. old and I watch this often and just crack up every time!
Im half that age and this skit gets me every single time like Keenan's What up with that!
I like this one too. Also Keenan's " Texas man gobbler "/ Shawshank spoof skit.
Yea well I got you beat whippersnapper.
God bless you sir. Comedy is what keeps us Young keep laughing youngster!
Lovely :-)))
Did you notice how good Justin’s imitation of Robin is when he’s singing? During the theme songs his imitation of how Robin sounds is spot on, hilarious.
He might be the only one-ish who could do it lol
Well he has a natural high voice that works in his favor.
Yes, I absolutely agree. His impression was spot-on.
Guys they are both great but falsetto is not that hard to do when you know how to sing. Barry Gibb and his brothers were tremendously talented because the most difficult for a man is singing that high without hurting their vocal cords. Barry has the ability of singing flawlessly in regular voice and suddenly get the higher notes with his falsetto so naturally that the different ways of breathing so naturally. That’s the hardest thing of falsetto: changing breathing techniques but if you pitch perfect and a high vocal range it’s not that hard. Michael Jackson was amazing also combining voices son naturally and was friend of the Gibb Brothers since he was very young.
Actually crazy how well he fits into the roll.
This is PRICELESS!!!! "Talkin' bout CHEST HAIR.....talkin' bout CRAZY COOL MEDALLIONS"!! I laughed so hard!!!
This is one of Jimmy’s finest SNL skits. He just almost broke once and carried the whole thing on his shoulders.
Yeah, Fallon gets more than his share of derision online... but come on... he's incredible in this skit. Just hilarious.
Nothing to carry. Light weight lame skit.
Incredibly shit in this shit.@@trysometruth
He nails it.
Music and music related sketches are what Jimmy F’s good at (not so much monologues and interviews)
The falsetto trailing off at the end of the sentence is hilarious.
This sketch doesn't get old! Jimmy maintaining character the entire time is praiseworthy. This was hella funny, and their 2 songs are catchy 😂
First time i've seenit and it's not aged well.

this was jimmy fallon's best SNL bit by far
Justin Timberlake is literally tearing up trying not to laugh. Hilarious.
I don’t know how anyone holds it together.
Jimmy makes Justin laugh every single time they did this kit! It is so funny😂😂😂
I love when comedians have the power to make other rehearsed people break character with laughter. Will Farrell is great at that and so is Michael McDonald. I did that once on an acting job where they just let me freestyle/improvise for several takes of one scene. They kept laughing and wanting more takes, so I got to take it as a challenge and kept turning up the heat. It was such a fun shoot. I miss it.
When jimmy fallon was funny.
JT makes it so much more hysterical,....ha ha ha
This never gets old...hilarious...I love how Justin barely holds it together
The first time I saw this back in the day and Fallon started talking like that I had to leave the room. I could not even breathe I was laughing uncontrollably.
😂
Jimmy and Justin's chemistry is evident...the timing and the overall sketch is HILARIOUS!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This is the best Jimmy fallon sketch on SNL. Completely knocked it out of the park
Anfubvinch Nah, I think that honor goes to "More cowbell".
Anfubvinch We watched this a hundred times on Jimmy Fallon's SNL video and it NEVER GETS OLD (along with the cowbell skit) 😂😂😂
"More cowbell" was just kind of a freak event, it just sort of happened out of nothing, Ferrell was just too hard to look at without smiling, and ended up being magical, Barry Gibb talk show though, it's just a brilliant idea on paper, coming up with an impression of Barry Gibb where his speaking voice sounds like his singing voice was just hilarious, and then having them be their 1970s versions frozen in time dealing with early 2000s issues. The Nights on Broadway parody sounded great... I do remember Jimmy saying he was disappointed in himself that he wasn't able to get Horatio to break in this sketch, when he put his hand on his knee at the end he thought he was going to get him to crack up
100% agreed
Anfubvinch my fav too..lol
That actually harmonize well for just goofing around.
Was thinking the same thing halfway decent for just being goofy

Robin Gibb was always plugging his right ear in concerts to hear himself better, and sitting quietly during interviews. Justin nailed the little stuff that sold it.
Can't listen to Nights on Broadway without laughing anymore.
When Jimmy commits, he commits. He breaks in most other sketches, but not here. As BG, he is broken already, and therefore unbreakable. Love Jimmy. He should be a Bond villain.

Timberlake's Robin performance is still mint.
Justin can sing, dance and act. Such a talent!!
Robin was never silent on interviews but this is hilarious

Lol I love that Justin starts doing backup vocals and Jimmy just goes with it.
Justin really nailed Robin's way of moving his mouth as result of the gap teeth.
He kills me with this one, the way he kicks his legs in the air and then sings “ put you in the ground” the entire skit no matter how many times I see this I laugh hysterically.

This skit is a gem. Absolutely genius and I wish people would give Fallon more credit. He knocked this one out of the park, and so did JT. Their onscreen chemistry is hilarious and awesome.
I absolutely adore the Bee Gees and find Barry to be one of the happiest and humble entertainers around. Nobody better mess with them or talk bad about my Barry but this is just hilarious. I totally burst out laughing and SNL never makes me do that anymore.
Even Barry found it hilarious and showed up in person for one of the sketches.

I'm going to take a guess that the inspiration for this sketch, was a 1997 interview where Barry seemed a bit oversensitive during Clive Anderson's talk show, where he and the Bee Gees were guests. Legitimately the best performance Jimmy Fallon has ever given. That voice is just epic 🤣. He should start hosting the Tonight Show like this.
This skit still puts me in stitches...one of the funniest ever on SNL. 🤣
In falsetto: “no matter where I am in the studio, I’m never more than 5 seconds away from a gun!”
Barry Gibb was probably at home crying laughing over this skit...
He appeared in the last "episode" of the Barry Gibb talk show. In an interview, he said he thought it was very funny, and that everyone had expected him to be offended by it, but he wasn't.
I actually think Barry Gibb is there doing the really high harmony when they sing the opening. I was just watching it, and when they both sing "on the Barry Gibbs talk show", there's a separate, VERY high voice that follows really quick "ontheBarryGibbtalkshow!", and its not coming from either Jimmy Fallon or Justin Timberlake. That's gotta be Barry.
@@seyeryej yup you guessed it he has been involved since the beginning
@@albundy6008 It was his daughter Ali who persuaded him to go on the show. Barry had thought they were making fun of him but when he went on the show the reception and respect he got was so good. He realised it had been a affectionate homage to him and Robin instead.

The Bee Gees were a class act...musically and socially. Barry, in recent years, revealed the chemistry leading to their success. HE had to be the lead for the others. It was his composition and song writing abilities that kept them going as he recognized and brought out the natural talent of the other two in the trio. Barry, is the kind of person you would like to be a close friend.

Really? Covid-19 is the toughest? When you had to stay home and be clean for a change? When you had to stand a reasonable distance from people instead of standing on top of their backsides like a perv, as per usual? When you had to clean your nasty hands before eating and after wiping your behind? Or is it the part about when you actually had to wipe your behind with TP and flushable wipes that made life so traumatic? Hold it together. Covid-19 was a test run. What are you going to do when it really hits the fan? Cry some more? Big baby!
