Hey Tony awesome video as usual, Tokyo Ghetto is one of my absolute songs of Eve, but if i can suggest an even older song that introduced me to Eve and made my a fan of him is "As you like it" which was 6 years ago. I truly think that song is one of his best creations and it will be awesome if you could analyze that one as well. Keep up the great work and thanks for the videos!

LEO is so underrated.
This was the first song that got me hooked into his discography/music. Sure, I had heard Dramaturgy before, but this song was unlike anything I’d ever heard before (and I was so happy when that later same year he got his first opportunity to make a song for an anime, Dororo’s ending “Yamiyo”)
So when I watched the debut episode for Kaisen the minute it dropped a few months after his first ever song in the anime industry, I absolutely freaked the hell out when I recognized his voice. His past music at that time indicated only high potential in anime songs and he has definitely reached them.
These videos mean a lot to me, i got into this area of music as a young teen and nobody around me shared the interest and sometimes even thought it was weird. I only had my intuition that it was good stuff but it was hard going sometimes. Seeing someone professionally break down what makes these songs good, even a little bit, is undoing some of that stress and hurt. Its so nice.
Tokyo Ghetto has a special place in my heart. It's the song that introduced me to Eve for the first time ever back then in highschool, the rhythm and the melody completely captured me, and his voice only made me even more fascinated. Man, I love Eve so much

Tokyo Ghetto was the first song I heard by Eve and that felt so new and refreshing I was instantly hooked. I think the thing about Eve is that he's not afraid of trying different things and pushing the envelope. I would really love to see you react to Yuseiboushi. I dunno why it's such an underrated song by him, but has such a beautiful and emotional sound to it.
This song has some of my favorite vocal work of any of his songs. This part (13:16) gives me chills every time because of how impressive that shit is

This is the first song I ever heard from Eve. Since then I was hooked enough to pre-order and import Eve's albums whenever I could afford to. Had to get those special editions, and had to pick which store to buy from 'cause each store would come with different preorder bonuses.

My thoughts on this song is Eve sings so intensely even though the melody is so sad like the story is already over, all the chances and possibilities have taken their place. Maybe it's like when you argue with someone really trying to understand but your emotions are also involved, all the words you spit out, you know this all gonna leave you alone because neither you can handle it or a high chance (? not always ofc) they too. So you just stay. Not do anything because everything is like pointless now, you don't see a future. Staying will make you lonely. It's a fear that even if you realise it you might still not get yourself going in the right pace, and if you'll give yourself and others a chance it'll feel like a last hope but it will most definitely be fatal because the fear will still be there.
It's like the melody gives a clue on where this intense word spitting might get you in the future, and makes it seem like that future is unavoidable

For me it’s going to be shinkai, kaishingeki and Tokyo ghetto in no particular order (it changes day by day) furiwoshita is underrated as hell and I’m glad to see that someone’s recognizes shinkai as the masterpiece it is

you should listen to his newest song that just came out not too long ago. It's a collaboration song with Deu and it definitely has a different feel to it compared to his other songs. It's called "like a flatwoods monster" and I personally really like it. I also say that you should listen to some of his "softer" songs like leo, pray, and mellow. idk I'm too big of a fan and like too many of his songs to just list a few lol.

Tokyo Ghetto is really deep. I've seen a worrying dream recently, I had a kind of similar feeling, but so glad it was not at its fullest and only in the distance, because my family was with me there even though we don't get along too well IRL. But it made me feel not lonely and feel resistance to the fears that this song I think is telling.
I liked Eve's new MV. The sound design has a good quality. And to be honest it was an unexpected vibe at least for me. It's kind of freaky too. And can't wait when another new MV will come out, this time for the song Insomnia, so that you could properly react to it.

In Tokyo ghetto, on 3:34 and 3:48 - that descenting guitar note (G) in the right ear, it adds so much and sounds a bit hysterical and so sad too
In Inochi no Tabekata (How to eat life) original version (the one on spotify, and not the youtube MV.), in the chorus, on 1:10 1:17 1:20 (the best timestamp to hear it right away) and 1:23, there is also a descending guitar note (D) but played more in the left, and it's also a bit hysterical but not so sad and rather making the song roll and become aware and yell about that sadness and thereby powerfully throw it out rather than to be stuck with it

Man I love your channel, I've been watching your videos since 2022! You really should listen to some of Sambomaster songs. They are a Japanese Rock band and their songs are really something else. If you would like some recommendations, my top 3 is
1- seishun kyousoukyoku
2- sekai wa sore wo ai to yobun daze
3- Dekikkonai o Yaranakucha
They also performed a few times on the first take, really a hidden gem

Old Eve songs are absolute masterpieces, some of my favorite songs ever. Sadly a good chunk of his newer songs just don't hit the same for me.

Maybe it's a problem with my VLC player, but I noticed a very slight pitch change in the official intrumental version in the end chorus. Also for some reason when you lower the volume of any Eve's old song, it'll feel like the pitch has descended a bit. And idk if it's just my ears or not but I can hear him singing the MO part in the end phrase "kimi wa kyou MO stay" a bit lower than the perfect pitch would be placed, maybe it's also done on purpose
