  • This is my fountain pen review of a no name piston filler made in Germany in the 1950s.
In this video I will talk about the design characteristics of German made pens from the 1950s.

I really liked the brass piston and the wide ink window. 😊

Yes. I also like the brass piston. They don't make them like that no more.

@@ThePenCollectorBogdan brass is durable and gives some heft to the pen as well. Sad they don't make like that, probably to reduce the cost.

@@dashsunil yes. The Pelikan Souverän M800 and the M1000 models still have a brass piston and I think the Montblanc Meisterstück 146 and 149 have a brass piston if I am not mistaken.

@ThePenCollectorBogdan thanks for a wonderful video. Only the Pelikan M800 has a solid brass piston housing. Montblanc has plastic piston completely, except for a thin brass sleeve.

I rather like this one. Would be good to know what it is. I will refer to my books tomorrow.

Is it a goat (Ibex) on the nib rather than a deer? This video made me impatient for my 50's piston filler to arrive!

I think you are right! WaskiSquirrel commented it is a Bock nib with a goat on it.

It looks like a Bock nib? They always had a goat on the nib.
