I’m so glad I found you (hello from NM!), this was very interesting. You say Pelikan the way we Germans do, you’re good. 👍🏻 I’m with you on the sentimental value of pens, gifts are special and I always have at least one from my husband inked as well as my favorite of all times ( heheh maybe there will be a video.. 😜) and pens from my brother, my kids and my dad. My daughter just got me a vintage Parker 51 via FaceTime in London.. she’s awesome! Happy writing! 🌸🖋🙌🏻
“He said it was,” regarding your husband on whether or not your category was superlative made me laugh pretty hard. My Pelikans M805 Stresemann and M1005 Stresemann are my best writers. I think the M805 is almost perfect. I would steer clear of TWSBI. I have a Vac Mini that is truly the Pen of Theseus - I’ve replaced every part in it multiple times, no exaggeration. I night it in 2016 and every plastic part has been replaced at least twice. I’d bet I’ve dumped double the cost of the pen into shipping for replacement parts. You’ve got great taste in pens!
I honesty try not to try too hard in my videos. They are videos about pens and ink; it should be fun. I’m glad you had a laugh too! That TWSBI sounds cursed!!
@@Desert_Inkwellsadly not as cursed as one would think, I had two that cracked even tho they had never been inked and were just sitting in the pen chest. Naturally being limited edition colors, the replacement parts in the correct color were not available.
You match the painting on the wall. The painting is beautiful. I have hoarding tendency too... I wanna buy 5 olive inks already but self restraint has been difficult. But probably with BPC u are good dw
Hi Jeffrey, what an entertaining video! Funny that you mentioned the Pilot in Amber- that is the exact reason I don’t have one (so far…). I like changing inks and using samples and a Vac filler drives me nuts 😅 Nettuno wasn’t on my radar, yours is really beautiful!
Thank you for the kind words! I will have to say that I end up using the Pilot anyways because the writing experience is so grand! Ahhh the Nettuno, one of my favorites for sure. Thank you for taking time to watch my video; I appreciate it
@@Desert_Inkwell so this whole time it is Peli-"Kin" and not "Kan"!!! I most of the time say it the English way, but I think the German pronunciation is "kan" xD and English is "Kin" so who knows....I need to hear the owner of Pelikan say it! LOL

I love your handwriting!
Omg love this! Haha makes me wanna do this too! And your handwriting is *chefs kiss*!
Yay, thank you! And you should!

your daughter!!
Omg I just love your videos you always make me laugh.
That makes me super happy
My favorite was the grammar check with your husband. 😂
I really should learn the rules of my native language, lol

@@Desert_Inkwell I think I would do the same and use the Pilot because of the good nib experience 😄👍
When you said $2200....my jaw dropped, damn!! I will spend that 2200 on a custom urushi maki-e raden Sailor or Leonardo! XD
It’s an actual shame
What a great video!
You are so kind
Technically it’s an M805 as it has platinum colored trim, M800 indicates gold colored trim
Oh, yep, you are correct!
Another great Sunday chat. ❤❤
Thanks for coming!
Nice video thanks
And thank YOU for watching!
Also I'm glad you don't script you videos.
Hoorah! An ally! Thank you
this "community" likes to use the term superlative wrong
Well, I obviously struggle speaking my own language so, sure, fair.
❤
Thank you for watching!
Thank you for pronouncing Pelikan correctly. I cringe every time I hear it the wrong way.
You are welcome, it is like an ear worm

I think the mispronunciation of Lamy is more grating to be honest….that an J Herbin….
@@KenchanKraftsPel-ee-kan is the proper way
@@KenchanKraftsyou can also look up the German commercial here on CZcams for the Pelikan Pelikano…it will help reinforce the pronunciation
