I always wanted to share my vintage and modern fountain pen collection, so I started this channel to showcase them all, as well as provide comparisons between various models.
All my vintage fountain pen reviews contain interesting historical information about the pen model and the manufacturer.
I also make modern fountain pen reviews, roller ball and ball point pen reviews.
I LOVE VINTAGE FOUNTAIN PENS AND I WANT TO SHARE MY PASSION WITH YOU!
I love vintage fountain pen instruments but I also review modern or new fountain pens and other writing instruments.

COVID-19 Update:
Please stay home! In this difficult period as the virus forces us to stay indoors, writing or drawing with a fountain pen can be a plesant and relaxing way to spend our time.
For this purpouse I will make a new series of short videos on my channel: "Fountain Pen Therapy" - indoor exercises with your fountain pens.
Take care of yourself! ♥️

Beautiful pen. Does monte blanc still use casin? Anyone know. If not when did they stop using casein for the star Thank you
Love the details on it! I have two ink wells, one is the Ferris Wheel Press carousel and the other is a TWSBI 50ml inkwell.
I need to get a geha pen. Lovely pens. My German friend had them when she was young. Very nice my friend
Does the ink go directly in the dog’s head or could there have been a glass insert that fit it the top? Great find anyway !!!
WOW!!!! What an incredible bargain. I should be so lucky.
I happened to purchase a Schneider Slider Rave XB in the USA and was very pleased with how smoothly it wrote. I also believe the size of the line is perfect for most applications and really like the blue ink. I now use the Schneider Slider 755 XB refills for my Rotring pens.
Good to see you my friend. I remember the old dials of the phones. God bless my friend
M = "Medium point"
Have you tried Rotring pencils?
@@cool-jg2050 yes but only the Rotring Tikky model II in high school.
@@ThePenCollectorBogdan you should buy this Rotring pencil model 600 pencil its very durable.
When did the other Lamy 2000 products like the pencil, rollerball, etc come out?
Norex is actually an Italian brand: searching for information about a Norex pen my mother was using at school in the early 90s I found it was a brand based in Milan offering nice quality pens at a pretty good price
@@gabrielebertolo2744 thank you for this information! I thought it was a German brand.
It must be said that Norex pens do look from a German brand (also considering in the pen I have there's a german phrase saying "gross tank"), but a reason for this could be seen in the fact that in those years german things were usually considered the best ones around due to multiple factors
Happy to see you healthy and well!!! Also great to see you in another location. Incredible piece at an incredible price. Good to note that Desk Pens can be had for considerably better prices than their more portable counterparts!
Always glad to see and hear you! The stuff is amazing!
Lookin' good buddy!!!!!!🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🤘
Good to see you looking so happy and healthy in the sunshine, Bogdan!
Hi! Your reviews are very interesting and are important for the costs you report in euro and dollar currencies. Very important data in the international market of vintage fountain pens. Very happy to hear you are better. Excellent purchase for such an item at 12 euros! See you soon!
What happened? I see your face for the first time. And knife cuts. However, I only started watching your channel recently, so I may not have seen it yet. Sheaffer's fountain pen is excellent and dial type address book is thoughtful. Thank you👍
I need a German vintage pen in my collection. 👍
Great video! You sound though, like you were born in 1943.
Please tell me, can I use a converter for this pen, and which one is suitable?
Not informative enough
11:42 This pencil appears to be mostly intact for the functioning. The only part missing is the jewel top. I collect antique pencils from the 1800's.
@@soozieq697 thank you very much for this information! Have a nice day, my fellow collector! 🙂
Beautiful collection my friend. I hope to own a German 1930s/40s fountain pen one day
I have a Haff Precision Instrument case. The notation on the inside of the case states Jul, Wettstein Nachfolger. Can you direct me to whom I may ask about selling this piece?
Buna, am vazut niste videouri mai vechi de ale tale despre niste pixuri aihao si voiam sa intreb de unde le ai luat multumesc frumos anticipat
Greetings from Panama... like you, I collect fountain pens and of course, inks. I haven't been doing it for long because, being left-handed, I had to relearn how to write so that the ink wouldn't get on the edge of my hand. Today I collect Montblanc and Wearingeul inks (for now they are the ones I know) in pens I have: 3 Lamy (2 Safary and one Al Star), 4 Jinhao, 2 Ferris Wheel from the Carousel series, an achromatic Parker from the IM series and a Hongdian 231 Chinese Classical Fountain Pen
Interesting design!
Very elegant and sleek! And I have never seen a nib and feed like tht!! I think you got a very good deal indeed. God bless you always.
colibri was a german brand formed out of the company Ibelo, Later in the 1970s Colibri closed shop in Germany and moved to Japan. They made all kinds of things from metal, Pens, Lighters, ashtrays, cigarette cases and other smoking accessories. John Sterling was a london based mens outfitters
I have heard of Colibri as a producer of good lighters, didn't know they have a pen division!
Beautiful desk!
Bull, they sell on Amazon for $24.00
Thank you very much for an informative video, as always. Your Montblanc fountain pens are real treasures. You are always well prepared and organized. Take care and God bless you always 🙏 ❤.
It's great to see so many of your Montblanc FP today, even though it's just on a screen👍
So beautiful pen.I like it .where we bought? SIR RIZWAN BHATTI SOHDRA PAKISTAN
Do you have more informations on this company?
Indeed a 342 in poor condition. €90 would be the price for a 342 in good condition. Some 342s have a steel nib (Stub for example). For my part, I'm looking for a Monte Rosa cap. Perhaps dear Bogdan you have this in stock? 😊 Update : I no longer need the Monte Rosa cap... It hid another marvel... a Pelikan 400 Gunther Wagner (nib 14 karat, 1950-1953). After a few ultrasounds, piston unlocked, it has just regained its full functionality, without cap. 😊
I have both a new Pelikan M200 (bought on Amazon for 77 euros on a super sale) and a pre 1997 one found in a thrift shop for 40 euros, they are virtually the same pen and write both equally flawlessly, I don't know why people are saying that new pelikans are worse, the quality is exactly the same.
Thank you very much for interesting history of 146. I follow your video to date my 146 which I bought 2nd hand . I was convinced it was from 1984 to 1995 . But it has a brass piston . It is only 142 cm . What year do you think it was from ? Many thanks
Check the hinges. Many times you can tell whether an item is actually antique by the hinges because for a lack of a better word, the "nails" are unlike anything used today. Also from speaking to an antique dealer slight variations in the pattern (which Ottoman tended to use a floral or vine/ geometric engravings) and "flaws" represent the item to be handmade. Which if that is the case, he informed me that typically that indicates an older piece. As far as hallmarks are concerned, I know some have them which is extremely helpful but unfortunately many do not. I have what we believe to be 19th century, maybe earlier, Ottoman brass inkwell. Very similar to yours. Although, mine is fully functional, the pen compartment lid dies not open fully as yours does. And due to its age, I am afraid to force it. I hope this may have helped
Just bought all four of them.
Thank you for the video. Is it possible to change the nib or to change the feed and nib? Thank you
Nice. You got a good deal.
Thank you! 🙂
Hello pen collector
Hello! 🙂 Thank you for watching my channel!
Hello, I watch your videos and I have a question, how would you get a bohemian pen from MONTBLANC working again? I have water and pen cleaner. Thank you, it's urgent! Sincerely, Pascal, a subscriber
I am sorry but I am not familiar with the Montblanc Bohemian. I think it is a cartridge filler and the cleaning job should be easy but before you start you should get more info.
Excellent deal 🎉
Thanks!
Interesting pen. Do let us know if you discover anything more about it.
It is hard to tell the producer. The only clue is the gold nib.
