  • In this video we'll use vertex paint in Blender to define the areas of the mesh that we'd like to have be affected by the wind in UE4.26. Then we'll jump into Unreal Engine and set up a simple material graph to animate the desired geometry.

There is the newer way to export from Blender to UE4. Send to unreal addon for Blender from Epic! You use the pipeline to export directly into your projects! :D

Phenomenal tutorial, you go through the process from start to finish, you explain WHY you are doing it, and this is all done in less than 7 mins. Thank you for this!

Its a bit counterintuitive when masking everything in white to not move but as long as people understand the concept its fine

AAAAAAAAh you have to plug in ZERO (0) into the lerp node and vertex colours go into alpha.... Jeeeesuuuus :D Thanks man! Much appreciated.

is there a way to apply cloth simulation inside unreal on that part of a mesh I know there is an option for characters?

@@SnapLaunch Thanks, I see. I guess you need skeletal mesh in order to apply this option, so I could rig the chair and then apply cloth simulation? will the result be the same as in your method?

When i hit Play to run with my Character, all physics running, wind are blowing, flags ar flapping...BUT when i start record my scene in the level seuqenc the wind is not working and i need complex code for it, really ? c'mon man -example i just need a flag influenced by the wind i allready set up in the Scene Level Editor Mode. How the wind affect the world like when i hit play ?!
