  • Honda Jon bringing you this video showing how important a cost of wax is. We all know that paint nowadays Is not what it used to be so protecting it is very crucial. For about an hour or so of your time it really can give you the outer layer of protection that you’re looking for. And it doesn’t cost much at all. It’s the very first thing I do when I buy a new car because you don’t know how long this is been sitting and what’s been on it. Thanks
    If you’d like, feel free to donate to help support my channel. As always, It’s much appreciated.

    Nice video Jon. For those who are wondering, a new car's paint is far from perfect especially since they sit on the lot for weeks/months and sometimes run through the dealership's automatic car washes (such a no-no). With every new car I get, I'm doing a full detail (decontamination by claying/iron removal, polishing, etc) followed by applying PPF to the prone areas of the car. Looking forward to your next mods, did you do suspension on your last car or plan to with this one?

    Lookin good as Always If you go ceramic it’s not a simple wash car apply You have to clay bar and polish and apply ceramic with other steps In between and always know the nano technology gets in the clear and you need way more than just a clay bar to get it off if you plan on retreating You can remove it but it is very time consuming and difficult I love ceramic coating I have done it before Just choose not to on my 2020 Accord I prefer to use high end wax and other options in between If ceramic wasn’t so hard to remove I would be sold on it but it isn’t unless you have all the right knowledge equipment and are very familiar with it But it is a amazing and impressive I spent 5 hours applying all the correct steps to do it right on my 2020 Camry

    Hey Jon, thanks for the tip. I will definitely look into doing this to my car too.
    Question tho, I'm looking into getting a 2020 2.0T Sports or Touring model at this time. I was wondering how much off the MSRP were you able to get? I got a dealer willing to do $3.5K off. To me this is a good deal but I feel like they could take more off though since it is close to the end of the year now. I'm actually able to get more off the Touring though like 5K off.
    Also I wanted your opinion on the new 2021 changes. To me I don't like what they did on the outside. On the inside though they ended up giving more stuff to you which is nice. They are also introducing that Sonic Gray Pearl too which I think is a nice color since it came out last year on other Hondas. One thing that they should've done was revise the taillights too though smh. At least make it darker like the new CR-V. I know dealers won't really discount the new ones though maybe not even using the Costco discount either.

    • @HondaJon
      @HondaJon  Před 3 lety +2

      Thanks man. I agree. The 2021 isn’t really any different. I was also expecting a little more. I’d definitely get a 2020. I love mine. I would say you can definitely get a better deal. I got $6k off of mine. I would email some dealers near you and ask what’s the best price on a 2020. I’m sure they want to move them to make room for the 2021. $3500 off isn’t bad but I think they can take more.

    • @volcalstone
      @volcalstone Před 3 lety +2

      @@HondaJon Dang you got a really good deal then but I know you said you knew the manager so I'm sure a stranger won't be able to get that much off. I would say 4K-5K off at the most.
      Just an update. I took some time and thought it through. I think I'm going to wait for the 2021 Sport 2.0T. They did make enough changes for me to want that instead. Here are the changes they made below.
      * Full LED headlights like the Touring
      * Wireless AA/ Carplay
      * Wireless Charging now included
      * Rear USB outlets
      * Engine tuning refinements with better throttle response.
      * Full LED brake lights now like the Touring (guessing due to new press release)
      * Better Honda sensing. Includes braking and lane centering.
      I think that's about it. I want that sonic gray pearl paint too! It's an extra charge but im sure it's worth it. That's the only new color for 2021. I believe I could still get at least 3K off with the Costco discount. I'm gonna try to push for 4K though.
