She was emotionally abusive I feel like cause of that and if you really loved someone you wouldn’t get cats when you know it makes your significant other literally feel sick and react to them. Well when you have children you become selfless. I am great friends with my ex husband and his partner. You do it for you children and for yourself. No reason to stay upset when you could chose to be happy instead.

Kyra don't regret anything. Everything is about her. Nothing ever pleased her after having that 3rd kid then the 4th came and everything went down hill fast. I think that Kyra has had that Boyfriend if hers before she decided to leave Oscar. He deserves someone that is nothing like Kyra.

Once again, brings back memories from when my ex and I split. He was able to get a really nice house in an expensive neighborhood because of his rich parents. I went over there and pretty much did the same thing Oscar did. I was just happy my kids would have a nice place to stay when they were at their dad's house. Oscar, you are strong and a great dad.

Oscar, don't feel bad. Material possessions and the size of a house won't make kids happy. However, the time and effort you put into spending time with your kids has a much greater impact. I speak from experience having had to share a room with my brother and sister for a looong time. I can honestly say my childhood was one of the best times of my life. Keep loving your kids and spending quality time with them and they will cherish it just a much if not more than the big house.

I think people in the comments don’t realize that A: these people have children together, for better or worse being civil and even nicer than that is the only way their kids are going to thrive. B: they had been best friends for so long, I don’t care who does what, that just doesn’t go away overnight. C: Oscar has been spared from a relationship that didn’t benefit him in any way. I think it’s good that Oscar sees where his children will be living 50% if the time. He could possibly spot some areas which may not be safe or could be safer. Also, when the ids are with him, he can picture the house in his mind. It is a beautiful house. I love all the available space and most of the layout, but it’s not a house I would want to live in. I dont understand why one has to be better than the other. Parenting isn't a competition just do what you can for your kids. Oscar, don't feel bad. Material possessions and the size of a house won't make kids happy. However, the time and effort you put into spending time with your kids has a much greater impact. I speak from experience having had to share a room with my brother and sister for a looong time. I can honestly say my childhood was one of the best times of my life.
Keep loving your kids and spending quality time with them and they will cherish it just a much if not more than the big house.

Oscar you don't have to have a massive house. The kids are happy and having lot of fun with you. They truly love you, even if you would be in a 1 bedroom. They wouldn't mind it. I think people in the comments don’t realize that
A: these people have children together, for better or worse being civil and even nicer than that is the only way their kids are going to thrive.
B: they had been best friends for so long, I don’t care who does what, that just doesn’t go away overnight.
C: Oscar has been spared from a relationship that didn’t benefit him in any way. He’s better off now and he knows it. Being the bigger person not only suits him, it benefits his kids and is going to improve his quality of life forever. Thankyouuu cuz like people forget to realize they were together for 7 yrs like they have a friendship. Their relationship ended horribly pero like he ended up dodging a bullet, and they’re prob happier as friends than together. Prob alot less anxiety too

I think it’s good that Oscar sees where his children will be living 50% if the time. He could possibly spot some areas which may not be safe or could be safer. Also, when the ids are with him, he can picture the house in his mind. It is a beautiful house. I love all the available space and most of the layout, but it’s not a house I would want to live in. Kudos to you Oscar for being a stand up guy by showing how much you care about your children. Great job to your parents raising such a caring, compassionate young man. Keeping you and your kids in my prayers.

I dont understand why one has to be better than the other. Parenting isn't a competition just do what you can for your kids. It's great when both parents can be happiest in their own lives because that's what helps make their kids see what happiness is all about. Self care and making them a priority.
