One that doesn’t exist yet. I want a 3.75 ideally (because my entire SW collection is classic scale) but failing that a 6” light up hologram Vader like the bounty hunter ones that just came out. That would look incredible on my desk. Bonus points if it was powered by USB and I could put a timer on the light.
I got the ROTJ 40th Anniversary from Hot Toys pre-ordered as well... and that would be the one if I couldn't get any other... but then I already own Black Series Kenobi Vader (both with full helmet and broken) the ROTJ 40th anni. and the one from Infinities with the full white armor.
Hey there Matt! Just letting you know ,The Hot Toys MMS 452 Empire Strikes Back Vader was released in 2018 not 2015. It was also rereleased for the 40th Anniversary. You may be referring to the A New Hope version that was released in 2015
Corrections to ensure accuracy for newer Collectors: BS ANH Vader did not come out in 2020, it released in 2017 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the film and came in a retro box w/ a stand and backdrop. (Article you referenced from Hasbro says 2017 👀) This figure had a variant, with some having the red eyes and some without. While talking about ANH Vader, the screen shows the ESB version (2020) which isn’t the same figure. Galaxy packaging was a repack of the ESB 40th anniversary figure, which included new arms and butterfly joints, a first for Vader in the Black Series. Kenobi Vader was not reused, it was actually the 2017 figure w/ a better lightsaber. Blue line box Vader (2014) was the first figure to include the removal helmet, which was not mentioned in the video. Hope this helps out ✌️ Vader is the BEST character in Star Wars 😈
Hello there, you hit my fandom on this one. Had to pause the thing to comment. I have that very scene set up in my collection, it's one of 4 of the Dagobah playsets in my collection. That entire story arc is one of my absolute favorites so I was happy to see this Vader on the list.
Funny how the vintage collection figure is the best due to the actual line being highly valued since the beginning. I actually bought 4 of these Vader's because I personally collect vintage line. I've always liked figures that resonate with me. This includes the box/card art etc. I wonder if any subscribers are going out to purchase the best Vader after watching your video.
So, I've been collecting STAR WARS since I was 4, in 1978. As much as I agree with you on this list, you should do another that includes all sizes because there are some absolutely amazing Vader's out there. Love this video, my favorite so far. May the Force be with You.
I hope one day for Mezco to take a crack at Darth Vader, since they're doing JOEs I figured Hasbro could let them have some Star Wars characters, who I think would work great in one twelfth soft goods.
My favorite Vader is the 30th Anniversary McQuarrie Concept Darth Vader. I've only ever displayed him with that awesome elongated mask! Loved that design since I first saw it in a book when I was just a wee lad.
Haven’t watched the video yet but already loving the tittle, idk collector CZcams like that, nerdy my only channel I subscribe too that speaks on the stuff, (well I subscribed to this random dude I bumped into at Walmart when we were both on a hunt) But I like to think I witnessed this man’s creator journey & business venture & I’m still impressed by the dude. I randomly stumbled upon him. -when I started back up collecting again when I met my wife in 2018 it was just every 3 month thing when I’d get a new figure, so when 2020 hit , the content just spoke too me, got me back in the game abit more , It felt parallel to not just me but probably allot of folks. I think he said something like that a few videos ago?? I musta been apart of that subscription wave he got hit with during the pandemic but I’m very glad I did. its awesome that he’s still able to upload videos & content that make me immediately want too click & see his take on the subject! Hmmm good job dude! I’m from Canada, & I hesitate to order from American stores cause I’ve had a bad experience with shipping things across the border before. But I window shop his store first now before big bad & it’s always a great time seeing stuff I can’t seem to find up here. Anyways, idk where I’m going with this , I guess this is an appreciation post for you my dude! Thanks for all that you do for the collectors out there & keep going! Just wish nothing but the best with you going forward, thanks for reminding me how much fun this hobby is!
One i liked a while back > unleashed. They had great sculpts, perfect mould for an articulated figure. I did my best carving him up for additions to other vaders. Still works well:)
Solid list, Nerdy! My fav Vader figure is the 2005, 12 inch, Revenge of Sith Ultimate Villain. It was a cloth goods Anakin figure that could be changed to a cloth goods Darth Vader. It even came with two different variants of Anakin’s robot hand!
my 40th vader had the helmet glued down very low making him look angry like how he looked on rebels, i wanted to keep him boxed but the plastic bubble started separating from the cardback
Hasbro Hyperreal is amazing. Best 6" is between TBS ESB (not ANH), and Mafex Rogue One. Best 3.75 is def TVC The Dark Times. Honestly the Hyperreal wins for me, even tho I have no other 8" figs lol
1. Vintage Kenner 3.75 figure 2. Vintage Kenner 12" figure. 3. 40th anniversary and or Kanobi 6" vader i cant tell a noticable difference myself. 4. Original Trilogy Collection New Hope Vader with clorh cape . 5. Concept Art Vader ...
I am DEFINITELY getting the new SHF Vader from Kenobi, but I am curious to see if it will overall be better than the Rogue One Mafex Vader. I still drool over that figure and it looks so good on the shelf with SHF ROTJ Luke. Really looking forward to getting the new SHF Vader.
I remember stealing money out of my dads wallet ( after being directed by my older brother to do so ) and going down to the MILK BAR ( corner store in the u.s ) and buying Vader, obi wan ,3 po , art to, land speeder. I still remember opening the box and getting my brother to put the sticker placed straight and correct. The memories are vivid to this day. I was 7 years old.
Damn, did you do it all at one time? Or take a little here and a little there? I ask because my Old Man would have noticed ANY money missing out of his wallet and would have take whatever means he deemed appropriate to find out who took it.
@@pauljoyner4338 it was all in one hit. My dad left his wallet on the dresser and was having a afternoon nap at the time. I remember hiding the toys after being told to do so by my brother. My dad obviously checked his wallet and saw the missing funds. I had anxiety waiting to see what the outcome was gonna be. My dad could have many different emotions about certain things and I thought I was dead. He ended up asking who took the money and my brother said I did. I was a very quiet child and said nothing. My dad laughed a little and told us to never touch his property ever again. I never did. My brother was the golden child of the family and I now know why we probably dodged a bullet.
Very interesting list, Matt. I like it because you appreciated the details and nostalgia from the different brands and sizes. I respect that. I was crossing my fingers for the original version, and YES it made it on the list.
In this ever changing collector market, I'm surprised, but not surprised, that the the power of the force body builder Vader goes for a whopping 7$ big ones.Has the community of a-holes collecting lost their minds?! 7$ big ones for that?!😂❤
Bunch of know it alls in here 😂😂😂….. 🤓mmmm, ☝🏽actually it was 2001…… Ummm ☝🏽 actually it only had 12 points of articulation…..blah blah blah…… No one asked.
If you could only have ONE Darth Vader figure of any scale in your collection, what would it be???
The 12" Sideshow Collectibles Vader which I am lucky enough to own (also the only Vader figure I own)
Hot Toys Empire Strikes Back Vader
1/6 hot toys has stolen my heart
One that doesn’t exist yet.
I want a 3.75 ideally (because my entire SW collection is classic scale) but failing that a 6” light up hologram Vader like the bounty hunter ones that just came out. That would look incredible on my desk. Bonus points if it was powered by USB and I could put a timer on the light.

I think the hyper real darth vader is one of the best vader figures
That force push effect is so damn good.
Black Series ESB 6” is the BEST in that size. Someone needs to do a new comparison video with it included.

I love action figure history/evolution videos. Definitely keep these going!!

I’m partial to the Target Exclusive Black Series “Duel’s End” figure. Baffled it was an exclusive.
I DO have a diorama of the evil cave, only with Black Series action figures. Great video, thanks!

I don't collect any of the Star Wars. I watch because you put out quality videos 😊
I quite like my Black Series ESB Vader although the Duel's end one they just released is growing on me. Dope shirt, by the way, Matt!
I recently got the Black series ESB vader with the removable helmet. it´s awesome but I can´t barely see it on my shelf. it´s so black;)
One i liked a while back > unleashed. They had great sculpts, perfect mould for an articulated figure. I did my best carving him up for additions to other vaders. Still works well:)

Thank you for that wonderful trip down memory lane. Is lots of great stuff there. Great memories. Keep up the great videos.
my 40th vader had the helmet glued down very low making him look angry like how he looked on rebels, i wanted to keep him boxed but the plastic bubble started separating from the cardback
I wonder if anyone remembers the 12 inch Disney Store exclusive Elite series Premium Vader, at £20 on sale that's one of the best toy deals ever!
Thanks for the new content, Matt!
thumbnail goes hard bro 🔥
I fully support your No. 1 pick! Love it!
Great list!
Thank you for the video!
Definitely TVC Vader is the best, either the dark times or Death Star II both are perfect
Dude your shirt is awesome!!!!
Hasbro Hyperreal is amazing. Best 6" is between TBS ESB (not ANH), and Mafex Rogue One. Best 3.75 is def TVC The Dark Times.
Honestly the Hyperreal wins for me, even tho I have no other 8" figs lol
1. Vintage Kenner 3.75 figure
2. Vintage Kenner 12" figure.
3. 40th anniversary and or Kanobi 6" vader i cant tell a noticable difference myself.
4. Original Trilogy Collection New Hope Vader with clorh cape .
5. Concept Art Vader ...
A Kyle Schwarber reference!? Damn, that’s awesome. I bet I’m the only one here who even knows who that is lol
I've also heard that the Dark Times Darth Vader is the best one made. Why hasn't it skyrocketed in value?
Was just recently released?
"I need about tree-fiddy....!"
The jedi duels end darth vader is the best
I remember stealing money out of my dads wallet ( after being directed by my older brother to do so ) and going down to the MILK BAR ( corner store in the u.s ) and buying Vader, obi wan ,3 po , art to, land speeder. I love my Vader shrine
Love shirt, Palps!
My 3.75 inch one, lol can't remember what line he is from, I think he has a silver chain holding the cap on. Wow number 1 is cheaper then expected
I’m confident the new Kenobi SHF Vader will be the best Vader.
Over the years there have been some good sculpt of Vader and bad sculpt, how many times will Hasbro re-tool Vader ? (don't answer we already know)
Where you been Big N?
Been missing you:) ha…
Good to see you juggle things to be able to join us here again!:)
See you again soon.
Do you buy or have any experience with McFarlane dc figures
Thank you Big Nerdy!!! =) Sending you the best holiday wishes to you and your family my friend!!! =)
Very interesting list, Matt. I like it because you appreciated the details and nostalgia from the different brands and sizes. I respect that. I was crossing my fingers for the original version, and YES it made it on the list.
Don’t make sports ball references. We are nerds here! Lol
What? No The Force Unleashed Battle Damage Darth Vader or Darth Tater?
🤝🥋
I dont really care for the removable helmet on a 6 inch Darth Vader, if its hot toys then absolutely
He asked which figure is your favorite…. Not a fact check🤦🏽
Why is mezco ghost rider so fuckin expensive your and every other shop
Because that is the base price set by Mezco.
In this ever changing collector market, I'm surprised, but not surprised, that the the power of the force body builder Vader goes for a whopping 7$ big ones.Has the community of a-holes collecting lost their minds?! 7$ big ones for that?!😂❤
