The ROTS novelization of Anakin's transition into Vader is so powerful. So well written. Anakin/Vader is one of the most complex & well written characters ever created. Truly iconic.
Vader will always be special to me because as a young child he was the only villian in media that genuinely terrified me and made my heart race. I'll never forget being 3 and hearing that breathing for the first time, theres something so scary yet so vulnerable about Vader

Out of all the horrible parts of Vaders suit…. the random beeping from something keeping you alive is definitely the most horrific.
Not for Vader. He cared not if he died which is half of what made him so deadly. Half no fear of death because he hated himself. The other half being because he hated himself so absolutely, it made him ridiculously dark side powerful. The most horrible parts of his suit made his powers exponentially greatest. But if their was one thing that was horrible for Vader personally is it was a constant reminder of what he had lost. More so as a younger Vader than an older Vader who somewhat came to accept that it was the will of the force. Until Luke...
Darth Vader is still my favorite character. Revan and Luke are awesome, thrawn is great, but there's something special about vader.
I do the exact samething! I come home from work and get into bed and listen to Stupendous waves vidoes as I fall asleep . These videos are the perfect way to unwind after a long day at work.
I think it’s Lucas’ mastery in storytelling (not script writing LOL). I mean how he designed the whole series as a soap opera surrounding the tragedy of anakin skywalker and his fall, giving rise to darth Vader. It’s so relatable. We all have that demon inside that’s waiting to come out. And those of us that do lash out in anger, we all have that good version of us that regrets the action. Vader is a depiction of the evil in all our hearts while anakin is a depiction of the good we carry.

Jesus, ive been diagnosed as BPD and never would have thought to make the connection. Granted he is a fictional character, it still hits close to home.

Regarding the modern Sith refraining from obsessing over Sith artifacts, I would like to propose that Darth Vader and the Emperor had what the ancient Sith coveted: Power, over the galaxy. And the Emperor didn't let anyone know that he was a Force user, and concealed his identity as a Sith from the entire galaxy in order to maintain his control over it.

Imagine waking up after 4000 years and the first person you see is Darth Vader.
Vader used to not be my favorite, as I grew older, this changed greatly. You could say that my lack of faith was found disturbing. It occurred to me how interesting Vader is. What fuels him, his history, how he is the most powerful force wielder ever. He’s not the villain, he’s the pure example of a man who’s lost everything. When Anakin Skywalker saw padme dying in childbirth, he was told he could stop her death. Yet it was in Vaders rage that he was blinded and killed her. He lost the one thing he was protecting. When Vader rose from the platform in his armor for the first time he asked where padme was and if she was alright. When he was told she was killed by his rage, his rage and loss was so intense that it caused the force around him to ripple in an aura. Making metal shrivel up like a deflated balloon. He gets all of that power from his pure rage fueling him. That’s what sparked my interest

I get lost in your videos for hours. I never was into star wars when I was a lot younger but when I picked up the books I literally went thru a handful before I really noticed, because the lore is so vast and interesting. literally every other character especially Jedi and sith have such amazing backstories and character development. Once I started understanding it more I was bkown away by the incredible stories within the universe. You can always tell when someone takes their time to build something and connect everything perfectly.
As someone new and starting to enjoy these videos what would you recommend to start at with the books?

I can’t help but always be drawn to Darth Vader. No matter how much Star Wars Disney irritate the hell out of me. Even the obi wan tv show, it’s screwed up but yet Darth himself is always fantastic. Regardless of how messed the lore may be.
For real man, kenobi was mid but Vaders scene in the village puts the fear in me. Same as the ending from fallen order.

That's why Obi Wan used Form IV Ataru against him during their second duel, after starting with Soresu and Vader being able to finally penetrate Obi Wan's defense. But Vader was shocked to see his former master use form IV, as he had never seen his master use that form, since Obi Wan stopped using it and switched to Soresu exclusively right after the Clone Wars died, all throughout the clone wars, and on their epic battle on Mustafar. Vader couldn't defend against all of Obi Wan's Form IV quick moves and acrobatics in the suit.

Darth Vader is definitely my favorite. Im a legends fan and have most every book and novel. I read them to my kids now, some of the new books have been ok but nothing close to legends. In the video-Some of the info is a little off and there are a few misinterpretation/assumptions but other than that its an alright video.

Base on what I had seen Darth Vader I mean anakin Skywalker become Vader because all he saw in the force is the darkness. He confused which one is light and which one is dark. He looked at both sides are the same I think not Clea between the 2

I think that Darth Vader do what he did because the force keeps testing him when they know Vader can be a Light Vader instead of stay in the dark but the still used their eyes instead of their hearts
I like the concept that the crystal may have a color base already when found (like blue, green, etc) but changes color based on the wielder and their personal force connection and personality. I wonder what color my blade would be.

I think Palpatine is sorely overlooked. My favourite Star Wars character.
Because the dark side was diluted because of the number of dark side users. The new was dropped down to two so the dark side was more concentrated so not needed

Wasn’t there a Sith artifact in Vader’s right glove that allowed him to stop blaster bolts? I believe an example referenced was Cloud City when Han shot at Vader.
His right glove is the Sith artifact. That much I remember for sure. I wanna say I learned it from “old” Star Wars Theory. Pretty sure it came out of a Vader based comic

uhhhh....Vader did NOT defeat Kenobi. Kenobi allowed Vader to strike him down. He did this to spur Luke on his quest to be a Jedi and bring down the Empire. As Obi-Wan thought whole-heartedly that Luke was the chosen one.

Here is the question to anyone in the comments do you all think that Anakin‘s psychological issues and the feelings of abandonment by Obi-Wan the Jedi order and the feelings of loss of Anakin‘s mother and even more Padme contribute to Anakin Skywalker‘s fall to the Darkside and into his transformation into Darth Vader one of the most deadliest dark lord of the Sith in history alongside the ancient dark lords such as Darth Magus or Darth bane

Whenever I think of Vader, I always wonder what Smee would've thought if she had been alive after Order 66, if she ever learned Vader was her little boy. I think the Sam for Palpatine's family. Did any of his family know that he was the Emperor?
