Just starting with V carve Pro. You give me hope that I can learn it. Thanks.

That's so nice, thank you. You absolutely can do it! Feel free to ask any questions you have along the way!

@@EverwoodCreations Thanks for your reply. I have assembled an Avid machine with V carve and Mach 4. They tell me that the length of the bed is considered Y. In your tutorial you specifically state that left to right is X. This is how I have always understood it. Is this something I need to worry about sending jobs to Mach 4?

@@iancrossley6637 I haven't used Mach 4, but in theory the X and Y should be as I stated. The trouble with the term length is that not all CNCs are shaped the same. I would test something small to see if it carves sideways, if it does then you would need to find a way to swap the axis in Mach 4 (I don't think there's way to do that in Vectric). Otherwise you may end up having to turn your designs sideways before creating toolpaths in vectric, or place your material sideways on the machine.

Can all the objects in the Clip Art Section be cut utilizing VCarve Desktop? Very well done video!!

Thanks! Any object that came in the clip art tab can be carved with VCarve Desktop, yes. Even the 3D models, you just can't edit the models beyond sizing and such.

I looked up that machine and it reads gcode, so Vectric software will work with it.
