One thing that's extremely hard to find when researching laptops is charger brick size. People don't realize when packing this into a light bag or portfolio, that needs to come with.

Do you know if I can use a USB c cable to charge my Spin 5? In your video, you showed a power brick that had a USB type C port. However, my Spin 5 came with a power brick that plugs into a round power port. Thanks in advance for any help that you can give me. Chuck

Very good review! I am actually looking for this to make notes at university. Do you think the stylus works well with Microsoft onenote to write equations sentences etc ?

The active stylus ain't as good as Samsung S pen cos it's too small and thin but I like it that it is easily stored away in the silo

yep, even on their successor. Almost impossible to have it on a bed without it having temp. at 70 oC
I have the successors. Some minor points that annoys me:
- Can't turn the keyboard backlight completely off.
- Hard to open with such a small gap when trying to open the PC.
- Smaller than average keyboard space, fn keys and touchpad. Just want to know why, Acer? Why????
- Also, the battery does not live up to what I have read in the reviews. You get maximum 6-7 hours at top. With low brightness and video watching on youtube.
I'm interesed in the New versión of this laptop (Acer spin 5 SP514) , I've read negative comments on the hinge quality of other 2 in 1 laptops (lenovo, Dell, HP)😒. How durable is this laptop in that issue (and also common issues like overheating)? Btw, Do you still keep yours or are you thinking to replace it?
@@JuanLopez-zo8os The hinge quality has been good for now. But it's only 2 months now, so I can't say anything for sure. If the laptop is on a table you are fine, but if you have it on your bed blankets the temperature will go up and the fans will spin faster. It is annoying, but you need something under the laptop to avoid that. I am using a cardboard box and it has been working good for now.

@@JuanLopez-zo8os But one thing is for sure. The bios are much better on Lenovo, Asus and Dell. I have used all those three laptops and their bios are dominating Acer's BIOS (PS. Send Acer feedback about their BIOS, so let us hope something will be done in the near future). Especially Dell. So many options and so user-friendly. But that is on my laptop at work which is not a 2-in-1 convertible. So I can't say anything about their 2-in-1 laptop.
However, my brother has a 2-in-1 Lenovo convertible and it has lasted him 2 years now. Some of the keys are not working. Otherwise, the hinges and other parts are as good as new. I have also been using my sister's Asus Zenbook 2016 models. The hinges are horrible, so I would watch out for that. However, even after 7 years the screen or the keyboard has no issues.

@@zyadmekawy1397 mine also broke btw after 6 months now. Still under warranty luckily...but I am hoping they aren't able to repair this shit and I get a refund ! Laptop is good but I can't trust its durability anymore..the screen and ssd both went bad
