doing your transmission service along with replacing ATF filter too will last your transmission longer, due to dirt and debris that clogs your transmission passage. on this particular work 2004 HONDA FIT and upper model are similar jobs, transmission fluids need to be flush or service every starting 50,000 K miles max 60,000 K miles, to make the transmission healthy check.
also, doing this service are straight forward and easy - you just need basic tools and knowledge however, i highly suggest to used HONDA GENUINE parts since HONDA transmission are very picky about their usage of fluids. "i don't know why" i'm thinking due to special chemicals.
NOTES!!! /// please i do not recommend using different brands of ATF Fluids for your HONDA, because HONDA transmissions are very picky about using NON-EOM FLUIDS. however, there's other aftermarket ATF FLUIDS BRAND out there but the quality and specific chemicals are mixed not pure HONDA OE PARTS.
