Wait a minute I'm confused, I've always heard on other CZcams videos, and I've read even when I searched Robert Pershing Wadlow on Google, that he was 8-foot 11.1 not 8 ft 10.3. According to this CZcams video, he either was measured not accurately, or he shrunk eight tenths of an inch the last time they measured him.
I dont believe that the news outlets of the day were aware of his last measurement of 8' 11.1" and the last they knew of, depending on the source, went from 8'8" to the one cited 8'10.3". But we all know now he was 8'11.1" or some do just say "just under 9 feet." He was growing so fast still that I think it's possible he was actually a full 9' at the very end, as his last known measurement was a few weeks before he died. As fast as he was growing still, no end to his growth in sight, I wouldn't be surprised. In any case, he was still just a very young man and I've not heard anyone say a bad word about him. RIP Robert, and happy 101st birthday a few days late.

He was like 6ft 8 and was 13 at that time. Can't remember exactly but I think his parents gave him some drug to slow the growth down, we still live in the same area and I see him from time to time and he barely got any taller. But it was because of the drug to balance his hormones. I guess Robert didn't have access to this option. RIP big man!

What people overlook is that his height has absolutely "NOTHING" to do with his genetics. His height is due to a tumor, granted its better than a tumor in one of your testicles or ovaries but it still killed him. This is not even something he was born with or could have passed on, he just hit the lottery at a young age, and a particular sunbeam or lead paint chip caused one cell in his pituitary gland, to work improperly.
