When she was young, my grandmother actually met Robert Wadlow. She was a few years younger than he was, and they were both from small towns in Illinois. She said that once she got over the shock of how unbelievably tall he was, he was wonderfully friendly.

They kept his home in good condition and a metal chair that is outside is a replica of his original chair that he sat in. There was once 10 foot 2 inch gaint in my tribe during 18 century but couldn’t take any pictures of it as those days were all headhunter and there are no camera or I should say zero sense of development…his name was Sehvahdu..he lived just for around 30 to 40 years of age..his armour for hunting are still there in village that are really huge,a thin fellow can fit in his calf guard..but sadly all his evidence are not recorded so iam giving this message to everyone he is one of the giant in this world..he is Indian naga tribe belonging to Poumai Phuba community..

Giants are always interesting, but many of these heights are extremely questionable - especially the ones over 8 feet, show business people and the people who lived before the 20th century. For example, Willie Camper's height is _billed_ _height._ He was working for a circus, and they have been known to exaggerate heights to gain more customers, sometimes more than a foot / 30 cm. The consensus seems to be: Robert Wadlow tallest without question, then John Rogan, John F. Carroll and Väinö Myllyrinne. John Rogan couldn't stand, let alone walk, John F. Carroll had such spinal curvature that his height is given as if he was healthy, i.e. he never actually stood that tall. Väinö Myllyrinne, like Robert Wadlow, could walk as well as such a giant can be expected to.

Did you know that after 166 cm for every 2 cm of height, we as a human lose a quarter of a year? I mean 1/4 years less for every 2 cm in height, that is the reason why those incredible people have had a really short life. so yeah it is not really good to be super tall, I think is because the heart can not grow until some limit, and after that basically, its functionality starts to decline as we get older :3
By that logic, the tallest man ever would've only lost 53 quarters of a year, or slightly over 13 years, over a man that was 1,66 m tall living in the same place at the same time and we're talking about early-to-mid 20th century USA here: men would easily get to be at least 70 years old. 70-13 is 57. Did Robert Wadlow get even remotely close to that age before he died? No, he died at 22. Many of the other people in this list who weren't even close to his height only got to their 30's or 40's in places and times were such ages at death would be considered unnatural, even after factoring in your equation. Therefore, what you stated as the reason for these people's early deaths is only one out of many. At most, that equation would only hold true up until a certain height.

Very few of these are verified at all so are exaggerated, Most of the old ones were just rumours, and andre the giant and giant gonzalez were actually about 4 inches shorter.

Wasn't there a legend of 5-meter-tall giants somewhere in the past? Some of their bones have allegedly been discovered but covered up by religious groups because the existence of these beings contradicts with what the Bible or some other holy scriptures say about the creation of mankind. But if it were true, then the pyramids could be built easily, and that may also explain why many ancient Egyptian or other structures were so gigantic as if intended for residents much larger than us. Just some interesting stuff I read.

Older versions, such as the Dead Sea Scrolls, list Goliath’s height as being 4 Cubits and a Span, which is around 6’9. Still monstrously tall for the time, but not unheard of by modern standards.

andrew the giant, jorge gonzales and others height were exagerated for promotional reasosn. Sultan Kösen is scientifically verified to be 8.02 feet tall. Anyone claiming to be taller is either not verified or most likely not telling the truth. There is professionals activicly researching this.
