    You know what we also need,?
    consistent application of these laws . Coz that has been lacking recently, to much is up to the interpretation.

    Tbh I definitely think the rules should be more lenient in terms of red cards like when players make contested catches and someone lands the wrong way can't allow contested catches and not expect results like that then ruin a whole game with a red card

    • @gavinbissell2029
      @gavinbissell2029 Před rokem

      agreed u shouldnt get a red based on how he lands as itss random how hes gonna land and anohter day he might land safely and u get nothing but on another day hes on his head.

      They should definately throw out the rule where if you go for an intercept but don't get it you get carded it's the most stupid rule out back in the days if that happened it was only turnover ball even a penalty is okay but the whole team suffering just for that WR suck

    @kittanielu Před rokem +2

    I'd like to see if the line out isn't contested in the air but the ball isn't thrown straight it's play on..

    We need more rules as I think I saw a game that had about 20mins of time in play which is unacceptable. We need more rules so the refs can demonstrate they know all the rules and if anything is missed, we now have a production team looking through the past aspects of the game to ensure more rules are enforced 5mins past the infringement. So long as we have more scrums and scrum resets and the game is dictated by the refs interpretation of an encyclopedia of rules then I'm happy. I saw a game once where there was running rugby the ref enforced the rules to enable play to happen and people where happy in stands, and frankly I made me sick in the stomach because I knew that there was a referee out there not getting his time to shine.

    Laws are subject to interpretation from Referee, we need to simplify Rugby, So hands on the Floor before ball is allowed. Great Video though guys👏🏾🇿🇦❤️

      Maybe Rugby as a sport is just too complicated to actually simplify😅

  • @Danimal13
    @Danimal13 Před rokem +1

    The laws were never the problem it’s those that enforce them that are the problem. Most of the laws are down to interpretation which is wrong and is always going to lead to controversy and disagreement

    Instead of looking at the “how much times a player does damage from a certain technique/old law or whatever . How about we look at the times where that scenario has occurred and collect data on the times where a player has not been seriously injured. I bet it’ll be in the 90% compared to the times where a player has come out second best.

    Hey Carley! You sure did let Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 *off the hook!* Even when they had *one in the bin* n FIJI 🇫🇯 *hot on attack,* you were still *"warning Wales"*
    Yet the *cards flew out the pocket* when it came to the A.B'z 🇳🇿
    At least try n be consistent! I mean we all know the *"North are lagging behind"* when it comes to *W.C wins!* 😂😂
    So REF it *Fair!*

    Just call it tough rugby with the amount of penalties that'll be coming our way

  • @sbok9481
    @sbok9481 Před rokem +2

    The "advantage law" is ridiculous! What do we want to achieve by it? If someone knocks on, and the opposition gets the ball, then them having the ball in their possession, is advantage enough. It's equal to them feeding the ball into a scrum at that same mark, and use the ball however they want. Why must they have additional field advantage? Just blow for scrum, I say.
    Same for penalty advantage... How can you have an advantage line that a team MUST cross? Play goes on for 5 minutes behind the advantage line, and only when the team who has advantage makes an error, you call them back ALL the way for a penalty. 5 Minutes wasted. Just give the penalty in the first place and let them decide if they want to kick for touch or tap and run. Another problem is, advantage on the try-line, you might as well award a try! The defending team has no chance at all.
    It's becoming an unfair contest. Teams must be clever; when there is advantage against you near the try-line, the aim must be to kill the ball, even if it cost another penalty. The game must then stop.

    • @BigBroKuma
      @BigBroKuma Před rokem

      @marksheehan8026 Před 9 měsíci

      Yes agree . Too many advantages n way too long almost becomes a continuous advantage , if they blow the extra opportunity then bad luck . Not take back to 5mins ago to get the penalty ..

      @@buckybit I actually understand most of the rules and can follow, I played the game for a good 10 years or so. Took my son recently to Scotland vs Fiji and it was just too hard to explain to him why the game stopped. As a result the only thing he really remembers about the game were the fresh doughnuts at HT.

    • @number8962

      Not only young people but older generation like me too. I would never miss a live Rugby Union International but today because of the rules I don't really give a shit if I miss it or not. Rugby today is boring as.

    Wish you guys would tell WR theres too many rules and to simplify them there's too many inconsistencies from you guys because of it which isn't fair on anybody and it ruins the spectacle stop start stop start

  • @matakitaki1
    @matakitaki1 Před rokem

    It seems the more rules you put in the more our game gets ruined. More tries doesn't make the game more entertaining.
    Safety rules. sure no problem have to protect the players.
    But...
    Drop out goal line - scrap
    50 / 22 - scrap
    Deliberate knock on - scrap

    • @stevenmcalister826
      @stevenmcalister826 Před 10 měsíci

      How can a deliberate knock on (which is foul play since it’s palpably unfair) be scrapped. Knocking down the ball purely to stop a try scoring opportunity warrants a yellow card.
