- The Gay Men's Chorus of Washington raised their voices in song to drown out protesters at Knoxville Pride. On June 17, following their performance at the Pride festival, GMCW decided to stand up to the hate and gave an impromptu performance outside the Coliseum surrounding the protesters and singing.

This made me cry so hard. Music is one of the most beautiful ways to combat hate. Although I am not religious, I believe this could have been a sign sent from God to stop the intolerance.

This was amazing, my partner and I were leaving pride after a few hours celebrating as this was happening. We only had a few protestors, less than ten so we weren’t worried but this was a beautiful thing. We cried as we walked by, it was so empowering.
This kind of stuff just puts a big ass smile on my face. I love this so much

Yes Preacher Adam, I remember being bullied in high school when they would surround me and happily sing showtunes. Horrific.
1. The bible was written by men, God did not take to paper and pen to write it

You are right. I think religion is just the envelope people use to ship their own person beliefs. Case inpoint women have been kept from leadership in the catholic church despite the fact that when Jesus first came back to life he appeared to and tasked women to spread the news also despite Jesus he chose to dine with and minister to common folk and social out casts yet some asshole with a 2 dollar bible thinks Jesus would approve of him shouting threats and insults at gay people.
