Gareths face was a picture when Copey started waffling on about Sonic.
Just on this bit now hahaha fucking hell
Feckin hilarious 😀
😂
Christ almighty listening to Copey and his Sonic story was like my missus in one of her rants whilst I think whats she going on about now!!! 🤣🤣🤣
The level that Bajčetić hit last season showed he's got enough quality to slot in (if you will 😂) more regularly. Agree with Cope that a solid CB would be the priority in the close season.
Matip probably time to 🤝🏻 and for him to move.
Gomez was class there a few seasons ago, but he's suffered from being shifted about a bit.
Think the point about a new manager not being welded to certain things could be a positive.
Bradley has shown his quality and there's an opportunity to move Trent infield. Especially, if a second DM is alongside him.😊
Yesss Robbo never let it go! I still can't stop thinking about what might have been were it not for the disastrous officiating this season.
Anyways thanks for another great show! Up the reds
Spot on about Everton singing our songs! Even when winning a derby, they come across as a comedy club! Absolutely hilarious stuff! 😂😂
your take on Nunez is spot on. Everywhere i look i see apologists talking about the online hate he gets and defending him. It's all a bit over the top. The whole instagram thing just seems like a diva/primadonna move more than anything. I don't get it and i don't see the need to rationalize it or to be overly sympathetic. I would say if there's one thing we can see is that he is sensitive and he could do with a bit more mental fortitude.
He is nowhere near LFC standard. Get rid.
@@BelpassoOilandWineCo i wouldn't go that far. he's shown he can be very good and he has scored some massive goals. I just question his maturity.
love watching you 2 together, always watched on the anfield wrap when you were both on there and continued to follow you here, keep up the great work, never miss a show
Loving the podcast. Listened to you over the months, and it's great that you don't go overboard on the criticism of other teams. I find you fair, and what you say justified. Other podcasts would go in on the opposition with 2 feet. You don't, which is good. Keep going 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Every week I get my dose of scouse from across the pond with y'all talking togger and stuff. Can't introduce my American grandson to y'all yet as his parents would be mortified if he started calling stuff fucking shite and they would know who to blame. He already says many english/scouse words. keep it up lads!
Absolutely great show lads, love the fact that you talk sense with a great degree of intelligence instead of being on a complete cringy love in with the reds, like redmen tv are. Sick of them always being to afraid to say how it really is.
Id like to thank Klopp , such a nice man .....and all those Trophies 💪🏆
Re : that " Defence " 🤔.....
who is a future: vvd ....🤔
Paul Cope is correct , defence wins Leagues , Cups no doubt
Great to see us back to our best in the sun yesterday. Shame we couldn't keep a clean sheet in the end, however. Think we'll need to address our defensive woes in the summer market.
It’s simply the best 2 man Liverpool fan podcast, and I’ve heard a few! Keep up the good work guys!
Another great show, lads. Would love to hear more about Copey's extra curricular personal development activities. Thank you
Robbo… love your “just sayin” just saying lads” to the bloo’s 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Boss ❤
Love the show guys. You know what will blow your minds. Have a look how Salahs stats vs Henry!!
13 goals and assists for a midfielder who's been a sub for long periods this season is boss i love elliot ps great show again guys keep it up you make mondays upbeat every week
He hasnt scored 13 goals and assists this season, thats his total in his Liverpool career in something like 120 games jfc he is bang average and reminds me a lot of Sammy Lee, (google him) both bang average and playrd in more or less the same position.
@@JohnPG1706. no mate, he has 13 goal contributions this season.
@@JohnPG1706. He has 22 goal contributions in his Liverpool career and 13 of those are this season. He’s clearly improving, don’t be so quick to bin players. Chelsea did that for years.
@@JohnPG1706. ok i got the facts wrong but i watched sammy lee in the flesh and he was nowhere near as good also he tried to sell me a cup final ticket for four times face value so i hated him after that i also think harvey will get a lot better after all he's still a kid
@@robdavies3663 Rob he is 21 now mate so we can't keep using he's only a kid but I never got Sammy Lee and he played for Paisley Fagan & Kenny so maybe he was doing something that was invisible to us & yes mate I've heard that about Lee selling ticksts at outlandish prices YNWA.
I'm from Indiana, USA... they are called POPSICLES!!! ;-)
Wouldn't be surprised to see Salah go to US
Yeeees..don’t ever let it go, I’m definitely not
Love TLC, win, lose or draw, it makes me smile. On the topic of summer signings, if Nunez doesn't feel loved, it might be time to cut ties, I don't doubt he will be awesome but if he can't handle the pressure of being the no.9 then Cody can do the job. We might need to get a right winger even if Salah stays, Harvey is excellent in the 10 but loses impact off the wing. Also feel a 1st team CB is required Ibou isn't fit enough to be in the 1st 11 every 3-4 days.
The best footie POD on the internet.
You lads are too sound for your own good ;o).
good show lads
Your take on Darwin Nunez was spot on,
'professional contrarian', sounds like my kind of job
The best way to explain Salah is that there has been a transition from “is unbelievable” to “was unbelievable”. It’s time to cash in.
Blame that prick Bosman
Another great pod!
Agree with you both Robbo and Copey about it if you don't want it delete social media there are people who have literally nothing else to do all day but bother you
Arne Slot's teams are the best set piece taker's in Europe plus the best defensive awareness rigidity in Europe
Great as usual lads
Wolves definitely don't concern themselves with the barkin of dogs.
Just a bit wary of Arne Slot making a move for Ait-Nouri
🐺
I'm a wool and it's defo "lolly ice" for me. Always has been. Always will be.
He/him, 44¾
Matip made of poppadoms haha :)
As a non footie topic. Have you got on to the AI contestant on 'The Circle'?
Think The Circle is probably the best social experiment TV show about anyway, but the new series currently on Netflix has thrown in an AI contestant to see how far it can get. Very scary!
Reckon Darwin was trying to set an alarm and that happened
Agreed on player's availability they all need to be particularly squad player's
Evening lads
I'm fine with the all the player's the Youth lads have been boss
This show is so good, great chat and chemistry
Elliott has been great all season. He's absolute class. Only thing he lacks is a bit of pace but other than that he has everything.
Mr Freeze!!!!!!!😂
Early birds, nice surprise guys 😉❤️
I thought Nunez goal looked level and it wasnt checked.
Prescott Cables was boss
Talking of lolly ices
I always went the ice cream van in the 70s and asked for a mivvy strawberry or orange both Knock out lolly ices
Gomez and Kelly have the same story.
Bad injuries in their early careers.
Ultimately we all become a caricature of ourselves…..Simon Jordan just got there a lot quicker than normal……
Not to stick the boot into him too much, but I think you may be giving Nunez too much credit in saying he knows what he's doing by deleting these photos. I don't think he ever knows what he's doing. Really do hope he can sort the mental side of his game out this summer, but he doesn't come across as the brightest of lads, so I'm not holding out hope!
Come on you red's
I was sad to see Darwin delete all his LFC (except signing day) posts..... However, it says more about some so-called fans, than him. Yes, he can be frustrating.... AND he can also be amazing and has scored some breath-taking goals BUT..... as long as he is our player, he and/or his family should not be subjected to constant harassment/threats. I wish him well for the future.... and hope that future is at LFC .... but if not, so be it.
I really wish we could stop comparing Trent to De Bruyne or Odergaard. He isn't remotely as dynamic as either of them. The speed of thought and footwork displayed regularly by both of those players is not something I've ever seen from him. If he had it in his locker, there's no way he wouldn't be utilised at AM by now.
A great player he could possibly aim to emulate is someone like Pirlo. Incredible vision, accuracy, but a player that ultimately needs cover at DM by a Gattuso, De Rossi equivalent.
Well said about Dazzah.
Everyone WANTS him to be good and everyone WANTS him to succeed but those same people are also entitled to groan when he screws up.
The thing that SHOULDN'T happen, both to him and to anyone else, is for personal stuff to be directed at him and his family.
Darwin, get it right (and don't read stuff and take it so seriously).
Everyone who goes down the personal route, he's just a fucking footballer so fucking GROW UP.
The Eleanor Roosevelt quote is one of my all-time faves, so Darwin DON'T give your consent. She gave another as well, "No-one EVER does anything that they REALLY don't want to".
Just sayin'...
By the way lads, the reason I and others "only get half a show" is because I for one can't afford a new pair of socks!! 😊
Nunez is as thick as mince. That is a huge problem.
Not poplolli is it
Slot won't come into the biggest job of his career and put a 19 year old as his DM who's missed 14 months and has no credit in the bank with Slot.
Robbo absolutely spot on about Darwin!
Darwin scored a world class goal and the media and our own support decided to criticise him for it, then when he blams one down the middle instead and it hits the keeper he gets criticism for it, so he goals across the keeper and it hits the post or goes narrowly wide he gets criticism, it's fucking weird behaviour.
I'm fairly sure I've heard you lads talk about mental health and players being "only human" etc, but it's Darwin so it's all "get on with it" almost.
It's not a revelation that Darwin needs to improve, but the discord around him has been obsessive, regardless of "Nunez Nunez" chants in the ground.
Robbo sorry to be so blunt but Elliott is bang average at best 10 goals in well over a 100 games bears this out, he plays for LFC so he is always going to get chances, so again mate I strongly disagree, if we can get £30m plus for him I'd sell him and drive him to JL airport myself, Ive had this arguement many times and would he get in our best xl ? No he wouldnt he goes through games unoticed so many times so when I see his name on the starting xl I'm more than pissed off
Weird
I have criticised Elliott previously, but this was driven by him drifting in and out of games too often initially. He then had a spell this season where he became increasingly effective as an impact substitute and more recently, he's stepped up again and began to be increasingly effective as a starter. Personally thought he was largely pretty poor as a midfielder last season, but he's really stepped up over the course of this season. So credit where it is due.
10:21 This could be problematic. Klopp leaving won't stop refs from picking on Liverpool any chance they get in response to things he has said.
Remember Tierney started his beef with Liverpool after Gerrard said he didn't like him in his book. And he continued that AFTER Gerrard left Liverpool. They could just as well just keep it up since they're all small men with big egos that their refereeing skills can't match.
Just give up and accept utter shite or cheating then? Nah, fcuk that
@@redboyjan Oh I didn't say that. What I said is Klopp leaving doesn't stop them from fucking with us. I would suggest calling them out with the receipts and pointing out every incident relative to other teams. Just like Klopp did with the quick turnaround statement. The stats bear it out boldly. I appreciate James Tomkins' work in digging into the stats and pointing out the irregularities. You should check him out. He's got a substack dedicated to Liverpool. If we keep calling them out on the bullshit we could effect a change. I mean, Gakpo's non penalty against Spurs would be given if it were Harry Kane. My worry is that the governing bodies themselves (PL, PGMOL, UEFA, FIFA etc) are so blinded by corruption and greed. And they're also small people with big egos that don't match their ability. Klopp was a soldier for standing up for Liverpool and for football. It pains me that other clubs fans won't get behind this because they only see the lines that divide but they forget a Sheffield United fan or an Arsenal fan is a football fan first. We cannot let these people ruin the game we all love.
@@KayZenShoGun contradicting yourself now
@@redboyjan The last part was talking about the refs, Tierney and the rest. Small men with big egos.
@@KayZenShoGun for sure. Poll, Webb, Clattenburg. Utter tossers
Ignore Simon Jordan and Talk Sport. Their job is to talk arse and have you react. They'll be patting themselves on the back for getting a rise from either of you off this pod
Love the show guys but b careful. A podcast by two men and only two men explaining why joey barton is wrong about women in footy... Glass houses my friend.
Hahaha - what a load of absolute shite.
@@garethroberts6075 I appreciate the constructive reply.
Most right-thinking people would quickly note a key difference between Joey Barton content and ours.
@@thelatechallengepodcast I look forward to your two hour video explaining that one difference. Peace.
@@lamestreammedia3154 We never proposed that in the first place so you might be waiting a long time. 🤝
Salah was not exceptional.
Nunez had been over supported in the ground and over criticized on line
Liverpool support the players. This isnt Chelsea or Man Shitty
@@redboyjan shame they didn't get that full support for that Quarter final home leg 💯 would of made a difference
@@realtalk8665 the players fcuked it bad, can't see it making any difference. Worst performance of the season for me
@@redboyjan I think it would of affected Atlanta players more, as for the flag protest would of made more sense to do it on flag day ? Felt a bit fake seeing it on Sunday. I'm pretty sure if that same energy was put into that quarter final it would of raised the team performance.... shouldn't of took it for granted bad move from the fan groups
@@realtalk8665 fair enough, I think the players were shite, regardless of external anything
Guys, as much as I don't like Saudi but you're being disingenuous here. Football in Saudi is big and there are stadiums that get tens of thousands of people. Just because Henderson went to a minor club with a small crowd doesn't reflect the whole league.
Not really. It’s still a world away from the Premier League in every respect.
To be fair. Comparing other leagues to the Premier League is like comparing any other basketball league to the NBA. The Premier League is THE league (for the past 10 years or so and today at least).
The big Saudi teams in the capital, for example, do get big, loud, crowds (because, unsurprisingly, they’re working class). Just CZcams the AFC Champions League highlights if you want to see that.
The thing I have against Saudi and the Middle East clubs (as someone living in East Asia), is that most of them are benefactor clubs. Whereas clubs in Japan or Korea have been forced to become sustainable clubs since they became truly professional. We’re exporting good players to Europe, whereas they’re importing semi-retired stars for marketing. It’s annoying, because they get all the attention, despite being a bit shite.
I'm fine with the all the player's the Youth lads have been boss
