Bloxy Bee your right Starlord he can't he has to
Yes thats a lesson many people now a days need to learn..blood isnt everything.
Ironic how Ego put something in Peter's mom's brain to die. And the guardians did the same to Ego
Sweet poetic justice.
That's not the only ironic thing about Ego's death. His last words, "If you kill me, you'll be just like everybody else", well... that's exactly what he wanted. His whole plan of terraforming all those planets to be like him was so that he wouldn't be alone anymore. But the only reason he was alone, was because he saw himself as superior, and intrinsically better than everybody else.
Had he simply allowed himself to love Peter's mother, and allow himself to become mortal, he would have had exactly what he wanted.
@@leemaster777 I mean if you are that powerful and lived like a million year you would be same. I can barely imagine how I would change if I lived a thausand year.
Thats not ironic though, just a coincidence

Yondu's line really hits me
"He may have been your father, but he wasn't your daddy. I'm sorry I didn't do none of it right, but I'm damn lucky you're my boy."
Same.
Along with his, "I ain't done nothing right my whole d-mn life, rat. Ya gotta give me this..."
I guess family is not always blood .
It’s very fitting that Yandu is so much like Merle from TWD, especially since they’re played by the same actor. Michael Rooker is an outstanding actor.
In my AU, it’s “He may have been your father, boy, but, he wasn’t your daddy,…I’m damn lucky you’re my boy.”
I'd never thought someone so badass would die in a _such_ emotional death.

Wasn’t a big fan of volume 2 but Yondu raised the movie for me by a lot.
Starlord’s genuine fear and panic here is INSANE. He’s normally so brash and easily frustrated, but you can hear in his voice the utter FAILURE he’s experiencing. It’s devastating.

*watn't
As quoted in verbatim.
The parallel of how in the first movie Peter gave his mask to save Gamora someone he loved, from dying out in space, and in the second movie Yondu does the same then, with the same zero hesitation. To me it shows just how much Peter and Yondu really did have a true father-son bond, despite them both kinda being broken people.
We're all a little broken. Which is why we find someone to "complete" us.
I think the Guardians films have the most emotional scenes in the entire mcu. Groot and Yondu’s sacrifices are the most breathtaking things I’ve seen thus far in the mcu.
"We are groot" is definitely one of the most emotionally charged lines in the entire mcu, just three words lol

Yondu died telling Peter to stay alive

My father laughed and dismissed this scene. He was never one to show emotions but I still love him.
After watching this scene originally in the theater I remembered an earlier scene when they first met Ego and Drax made the comment, "I thought Yondu was your father" which at the time seemed just to be an offhand goofball comment for a laugh. Then after watching this scene it made me think that people could see the relationship that Peter couldn't.

What I love about Yondu's death out of most character deaths in fiction is the choice of music. Typically, when it comes to the death of a beloved character you'd usually associate 'the end' or death of the said character with very melancholic or mournful tunes like violins or pianos which could indicate great loss or mourning, however this is not the case for Yondu's, instead, his is triumphant and victorious with trumpets and fanfare.
The reason I think why it works so well for a death like his is mostly due to the fact that Yondu never really proven himself to be a good father figure to Quill, seeing that as his biggest failure or regret, but when he finally does what he thinks is finally the first and last decent thing he does is sacrifice his own life so that Peter may live, that is why I feel this works so well, because there was no reason to feel defeat or loss for him, and when the fanfare reached its climax when Yondu puts his hands on Peter's face, it proves that he finally accomplished this seemingly impossible goal for him to achieve: to become a father.
To sum it all up, Ego was very well his father by blood, but he was definitely in no means his father by heart. And it was the greatest victory of all.
The music hit hard gotta admit😂
1. This is very well said. Nice job
2.Yeah, I gotta agree there. The music hit me hard. Especially the triumphant bit that starts as Yondu puts his hands on Peter's face. That same bit of music plays whenever Peter and Ego play catch so I think that little bit symbolizes fatherhood or something. I don't know

Your reply is quite irrelevant to what i said
@@spurslegacy Did it though? We saw that Steve went back through time to live with Peggy, that act did not break both timelines? The prime, where he was still supposed to be young in the present AND the alternate one, cause he kinda never dissapeared, so noone was looking for that version of him, which means that Thor probably killed Tony the first time they met(in the first Avengers movie, when Thor took Loki out of the plane). Not to mention that no Hulk would most likely exists, cause Hulk was a result of Banner trying to recreate Super Soldier Serum(at least if i remember correctly).
And what about past Thanos, who was turned to ash by Tony? That act could also brake the timeline, since he was supposed to be alive for at least another 6 years.
Gamora? She never returned to her timeline, from which Thanos came. She is also an "abberation" in the prime timeline. Alternate Nebula? Also dead.
Your argument would be valid, if there weren't so many characters, who are already out of their original timelines. But there are literally THOUSANDS of minor beings(Thanos army) who were wiped, on top of the many "major" characters, who were either killed(Thanos, Black Order, Nebula) or displaced(Gamora, Loki).
But if you watched Loki, you know why that does not matter. Cause TVA "pruned" those alternate timelines, so that the only one that mattered was the PRIME timeline.

I love the fact that this links to the beginning of the first movie where young Peter’s mother dies, he runs out, falls to his knees, feeling as though his whole world has collapsed, and Yondu takes him away, which we find out in this movie was for his protection.
Now as an adult, his father dies, he’s on his knees as the planet collapses around him, and Yondu takes him away again, in the process protecting him once more. Great work.
Remember when we were all pissed when he attacked Thanos in IW? Let's go down the list.

2)He had to kill his father after finding out he was responsible for his mom's death
3)He had to watch his only real father figure sacrifice himself
4)He had to deal with the fact that the love of his life was killed

What makes this scene especially emotional, is that Chris Pratt lost his real life father in 2014. On set he compartmentalized his emotions to not bring everyone down as a professional. In this scene, he channeled his real life grief of his father's death, forcing himself to face his personal loss.
Is that why I'm crying?
I hope Michael Rourker gave Chris Pratt a hug after they were done filming this scene.
Also during Yondu's funeral, Chris did the same thing, and if you watch the bloopers of Yondu's actor snoring and messing up the take, Chris doesn't laugh and wipes away the tears because of how deep he reached inside himself to channel the pain.

He may have been your father boy, but he wasn't your daddy. I'm sorry I didn't do any of it right. I'm damn lucky you're my boy.
That expression Yandu was giving Peter while freezing up was like saying, “I love you my son…” 😭
"He may have been your father boy, but he waddent your daddy"..... "I'm sorry I didn't do none of it right", you damn lucky your my boy"
His final words.
Actually he said "I'm", not "You". Yondu considers himself lucky that Peter is his son.
@Wavid done did it
It's okay, Peter still has an uncle, his name is Daryl...
But he's too busy fighting brainless walkers back on earth to be an uncle
Nick Sinistaj *Ba dum* _tiss_
Jasper ten Koppel and he's in trouble with Thomas Wayne
Andree Tungcab And busy crying with martha
+Andree Tungcab and in trouble with Trevor Philips.
tbh I cried way more to Yandu's death than any other death in infinity war and endgame.
Cap getting the ending he deserves killed me.
Yondu saddest scene ever
II just now watched this movie and I cried more at Yondu's death then actual deaths of people I know and loved.. it probably has something to do with the fact that my wife died December 5th and I never mourned her up until two days ago.Denial is a powerful thing.. but it's nothing compared to the power of love. It's such a relief. let the healing begin.
I love you Beautiful Cindy.... You will always be my angel
Girls: How did you not cry in titanic? Do you have emotions?

Yondu a hero to stepfathers everywhere. Ironically went and saw this with my 14 year old step son, this part tore me up, it kind of got him emotional too. The hell with that stepson crap I mean my son. Since he's real father wants nothing to do with him, and has never even met him.
You be that Dad that Boy needs when he is older he will realize what you did for for him.My Stepfather took the job my own father never wanted only did I realize how much he really loved me until the last few years of his life.I wasted so much priceless time chasing after my biological father only to discover "That thing I was searching for my whole life was right next to me and I didn't even know it" to quote Starlord. That boy will come to view you as his Dad not the man who left him.
SuperChuckie34 You're a real life hero :)
You're awesome man.
You're a good person. Your stepson is lucky to have you.
You have a good heart bro God bless you !
Bruh i don't even care that my siblings judge me i cried my eyes out when he died
I cry anytime I hear the word bruh or any version of it.
Despite Yondu’s death, this does not mean it’ll be the last time we see of Yondu, as he made a return in the Holiday Special via flashbacks.
I get sad every time at this scene 😭 I really miss Yondu
Despite Yondu’s death, this does not mean it’ll be the last time we see of Yondu, as he made a return in the Holiday Special via flashbacks.
We will see you in the stars, Yondu.
R.I.P.

Both guardians of the galaxy movies are pure beauty and feelings. Both films need some glory in awards or Hollywood walk of fame.
Nope. Vol 2 was fucking terrible, filled with middle school jokes and death scenes that don't even make sense like this, lol it couldn't even win one oscar
Julio Paz How doesn’t this make sense.
I don’t use my head to fly the arrow boy, I use my heart
This is the only movie scene that has ever made me cry. And I still can't watch it without choking up
Honest update, guardians 3 made me full on sob
@@preton9440 same
2:07 the appropriate and realistic reaction for this kind of situation almost made me go up in tears . . .
Bro Chris Pratt's performance there is spot on
His oh no was the saddest part
They said he recently lost his father in real life right before this so this was real emotion
"He may have been your father, but he wasn't your daddy"
The fucking feels
Peter definitely cared about his friends and the universe, since he gave up his immortality and ability to make whatever he wants. That takes guts and love. And I agree with Peter.
Ego: “If you kill me, you’ll be just like everybody else”. 0:15
Peter: “What’s so wrong with that?” 0:22
Don't forget...
There Exists a reality where *Ego* won and had a clash with *Thanos*
I honestly can’t wait to watch that.
And Thanos died to Ego.
I mean Thanos is using the infinity gauntlet to become a god, so Thanos isn’t a god without the gauntlet and the stones,
While Ego is already a god.
I'm Mary Poppins y'all!
LA...
Dude....ha....Not now....
Rest in piece Yondu. I will miss you.. This scene still brings tears to my eyes...
MASK Crusader He really is resting in pieces
MASK Crusader p
Same...it's the saddest scene in the MCU.
Egos death: Necessary, satisfying, he had it coming
Yondu’s death: Beautiful, tragic, he should have gotten a chance to be a proper father
The fact that Peter almost suffered a similar fate in Vol 3 makes this scene even more symbolic 😢
The only MCU death that had impact or mattered
Ben H Quicksilver?
Ben H what? what about agent peggy carter? her death was heartbreaking
Namerandom PL oh you mean that OLD lady who we didn't even see die? Soooo tragic
Hasan Ahmed oh yeah that's right, it was so sad when Quicksilver, a character we grew to love over a long period of time died. Yeah no
Ben H what about groot
*He may have been your father boy... but he wasn't your daddy, I'm sorry I didn't do none of it right I'm damn lucky you're my boy.*
Coded 😢😢😢😢
Coded The Tears ;_;
Tears
He kept him from ego for a long time.
Easily the most powerful death in the entirety of the MCU. Some people say Spider-Man’s death was more powerful but to me what Yondu said to Quill and Quill’s reaction is what tops Spider-Man. Also Spider-Man came back
I feel like Spider-Man’s was powerful but since he comes back it doesn’t feel quite as emotional watching it back. Knowing yondu will never come back is so much worse
@@bugsbunnypoo exactly what I’m thinking
Dude gonna admit that Chris Pratt acting was top notch in this one. It was so emotionally powerful, the scream of helpless of trying yo save Yondu
This made me sad when I watched it in cinemas. Well, this and when his Walkman and Helmet got crushed to bits.
The Spectre THE MP3 is called a Walkman, just saying
The Vagabond Yeah, I forgot the name. Thanks for telling me.
The Spectre np
Sigmund Solo calm down bruh
Sigmund Solo Well I ain't perfect, bitch. And so are you.
As people raised by step fathers this speaks volumes.. Helps convey a true message of love. To all step dad you are all yandu
I am a stepfather, combat veteran, and cried during this. Tried hiding it from my wife but couldn't.
A lot of truth in what Yondu said... A father takes part in the conception of a child; a daddy takes part in raising the child
the fact that I still cried just by watching this clip
One of the saddest deaths in the MCU
one of the only deaths in the MCU where they weren't almost dead or ressurected
Espada2234 I think you mean IS the saddest death
*The saddest death in the MCU
William Kilmartin Killmongers death was a bit sadder
Liam Austuin for me it is unless Loki or any of the original Avengers die in IW ☹
