For real, though! I grew up Baptist, and the only book we had to definitively explain out faith was the Bible--and look how many different ways the Word of God can be interpreted! To have a document that corroborates and confirms what the Scriptures teach, explaining them clearly for our day and age, is a great blessing. May Pope Emeritus Benedict rest in peace!

Show me a bishop who objects to this!!!!! Cowardice & BLATANT hypocrites in action since they're the ones behind it. Meanwhile Bishop Barron & others create a "Eucharistic Revival" at $ $30,000,000.00? Complain that 70% of Catholics don't believe the Eucharist is the precious body & blood of Christ? They're shooting themselves in the foot & are becoming more of a minstrel show than clergymen saving souls. They should be ashamed of themselves.
No more money to these evil actions. I will & have spent mine on PERSECUTED priests & religious orders who are weekly being dismissed & stolen from their parish communities.

I am watching the requiem mass for Pope Benedict. The Vatican is allowed to have a beautiful Mass in Latin for Pope Benedict, with Latin chants, incense, et al, but Latin Mass is disallowed for most of the laity. This seems like a contradiction. I understand that the Mass is the Latin version of the Novus Ordoe. But everything is dignified, unlike what seems to be the standard Mass one finds in America.
