  • The Rode Wireless Me with Gain Assist is a game changer and it's ability to work with wired lavaliers to a far better degree than the DJI Mic makes this a real top recommendation. Very simple to use wireless lavalier microphone

    The Rode Wireless Me, why it kind of sucks

    I was looking for an honest review, and then I found this guy, HE LITERALLY PUT SIGNS ON THE ROAD JUST TO HELP US UNDERSTAND HOW THE MIC WORK, and there is no music in the video, just pure sound quality, this video was a masterpiece, honestly, I am quite shocked that this video only has 1.6k views, anyways, thank you Eric for making this great video, your review did help a lot, and I couldn't just walk past it without thanking you

    Fantastic video man, I appreciate your hard work to make this video. Like those sign for the distance test, small detail but nobody’s doing that. Also the video really helped!

      Thank you. Rarely do people test other wired lavaliers. Rarely do people test with anything more than just a camera. Made this channel cause how lazy people were being... I also have a video with all the negatives of this device for those considering this or the Wireless Go II... This has far more limitations for changing settings. Unlike several of the reviewers never have I received a product from Rode for review. All out of pocket.

      Thank you, check out the Hollyland Lark Max, the Fulaim X5 is also one to consider on the cheap. The Rode Wireless Pro Q&A and hack is something different

      I have the Sony ZV1. Remember to keep your camera volume low and never turn the volume to max when using the built in microphone or you'll have a ton of hiss.
      Next week I will receive a new wireless microphone system that has internal recording, it isn't even released yet.

      I was really impressed how good wired lavaliers work with this. I am going to test the Shure TL47 wired lavalier with this when I do the review and the Deity W.Lav with DA35

      I forgot to mention the setup I use for XLR to mobile phone allows me XLR to PC without an audio interface :). There is a cheap method USB to smart phone to camera... It is so cheap and simple once I find the proper adapter... Maybe I need to build it myself if I cannot buy it

    Hello. I have Wireless Me already but I want to add one Wireless Go II transmitter to my setup. (I couldn't find single ME transmitter in shops thats why) As I know go 2 support internal record. But it records on transmitter or receiver? May I able to use that feature even when I add Go2 transmitter to my Me Receiver?
    Thank you.

    • @sparkestudio
      @sparkestudio  Před 9 měsíci

      You likely won't be able to record with a Go II using a ME reciever at least not set using the reciever. Since I made with video I have sold off my Rode Wireless Me and have at this time kept the Go II.. the ME reciever is missing some of the function options and the Rode Go II doesn't have that dedicated record button... But if previously enabled in software using a Go II than f GO II it should could work. I personally HATE the forced to set in software aspect of the Rode. Hollyland Lark Max, DJI Mic, Saramonic BlinkMe, Fulaim X5 all tested and reviewed here does not have such a dumb requirement

  • @WillNewcomb
    @WillNewcomb Před 9 měsíci

    I was super impressed. In your echoie corridor it isolated your voice really well and outside it sounded great!
    I've recently bought a Fulaim X5 and this sounds better. Have you thought of doing a comparison?

    • @sparkestudio
      @sparkestudio  Před 9 měsíci

      I was thinking of doing some form of comparison. I did a comparison of the Hollyland Lark Max in my review directly against the Rode Wireless go. I personally don't think the Rode Wireless Go is really that good but I might make a roundup of internal recording mics. I have the Rode Wireless Go II now, I sold off the ME. I spent too much buying these mics. I have a comparison video with the Go II and the ME I recorded weeks ago but literally been too busy... I work 14 days straight at 10 hours per day at my main job as an electrician and I have my tech channel... It'd have to be Rode Wireless GO II vs fullaim X5 now. Hollyland is better than both but it costs more. Watch the review where it destroys the Rode Wireless Go II to camera, PC and Android mobile phone.

    • @sparkestudio
      @sparkestudio  Před 9 měsíci

      And thank you for your comment. Certainly could be an interesting video to make. Also looking at what I call the "microphone awards" the best microphones for the price for certain use cases. There is no such thing as the perfect microphone, there is only the best for a certain use. Like the best with wired lavaliers, the best audio quality, the best reception distance, the most creative unique design etc. For instance the DJI Mic has the best sound quality with a big catch... It picks up everything, even the smallest of sounds and it really isn't at all that good with most wired lavaliers... Fullaim x5 is best value and sounds I'd say the perfect balance of good enough and not being too cheap. The Saramonic Blinkme is a really cool creative design great for a channel show piece. These are just a few examples.

      @@WillNewcomb thank you. I have a pile more Reviews coming... Problem is time lol. I literally have the Universal audio Volt 276 to review which I rented at 20% of cost paid to rent sitting new in the box never yet opened for the last week and a half. A Maono most affordable audio interface I have ever seen shipping here (self purchased) a Maono Pre Amp which is similar in design the the cloud lifter pre amp CL-1... Pre Amp self purchased also, rode microphones NTG, Wireless go (deleted the Review it was one of my first ever reviews and kind of sucked lol), wireless me wireless go II, diety V-mic D4, Sennheiser MKH50, SE Electronics SE8, Rode M5, Comica BoomX D pro, fullaim X5, DJI Mic, Shure MV7, Shure MV7X, Sennheiser MKE600 and nearly all audio interfaces and all tripods (deleted 3 of the reviews due to discontinued products) all 100% out of pocket. Why? Cause I was tired of Reviewers being dishonest and not really showing the weaknesses of equipment or being more entertaining than honest. And I spent a ton trying to find good microphones so the more I learned the more I tested and the more I compared. If you look at my Sennheiser MKH50 review I compare and state what mic for what use case... Have to also be mindful of products sent for review comparing more than the companies mind... The Hollyland was supplied but I am also likely the only Reviewer that shows and states the flaw I found in their firmware. I had companies decide not to work with me when I told them I was going to be 100% honest 🤣. If you feel certain comparisons would be interesting let me know... I am looking to sell off more of my equipment in the coming weeks to get some of that huge pile of income spent... I don't get even a penny of CZcams and income on this channel and my big tech channel I make only about $50 USD per month is all despite almost all is also out of pocket cost.

      @@sparkestudio A Q about Hollyland. Are they the same outfit that makes Fulaim. There are quite a few design and functional similarities! I've since discovered that Fulaim and Mailada are the same. Mailada for the Chinese market, and Fulaim for the world market. (I'm in China)

    Like. I find this mic actually sounds kind of shitty when its clipped to shirt. When talking directing into it seems to sounds great. Please help. Why does it sound so bad when I am using it when clipped to my shirt..?

    • @sparkestudio
      @sparkestudio  Před 6 měsíci

      Don't clip near the neck line of a shirt. Clip it down closer to the shirt pocket. If at the neck line not at the chin but off to the side near the ear. I greatly prefer the mic sound of the Hollyland Park Max and the DJI mic... But the DJI mic picks up every little sound overly easy

    Why my sounds is so low while your sound is great in whole video. What change should i do?

    • @sparkestudio
      @sparkestudio  Před 3 měsíci

      I updated the firmware immediately. Also don't forget to change your settings for volume in software program... And I rarely ever used auto gain. The sound isn't as refined, you have to be mindful to keep speech near the same spoken levels for best sound using it. Since the sound goes to the camera as well, your camera and volume settings make a huge difference. Sony is better than my Fujifilm for internal DACs. No matter the Camera volume MUST be turned low in camera. And Never use the Wireless ME or the Go or the GO II at max volume always at least one step lower.

      @@sparkestudio heyy thanks let me know one more thing should I switch to rode wireless go or wireless me is fine... Actually I'm looking for audio quality which is exactly equal to shure mv7.. Is it possible to get that quality of sound with this rode wireless me... Please let me know ASAP nd one more thing can I create sound like podcast with this even in noisy conditions coz shure mv7 is also in my wishlist

    • @sparkestudio
      @sparkestudio  Před 3 měsíci

      @@shashankpriyanshu9955 You don't need to buy an overly expensive MV7 for that sound. You should click on my most recent microphone video. Pay 3 times less for just as good sound. I used the MV7 and the MV7X here... the problem with the MV7 when connected to USB it that it is far too easy to clip your audio and ruin the sound.
      For wireless audio I never ever heard a mic give MV7 sound without the use of a wired lavalier. If you watch my Tilta Nano II video nearly every sound you hear is recorded with the Deity w.lav
      The DJI mic has very clean audio without lavalier BUT it picks up every freakin sound and de noise ruins the audio quality on all wireless mics. The Rode Wireless Go II isn't half bad, better than the DJI mic for proper wired lavalier compatibility and better for not picking up every single sound and less self noise when not using internal recording. I like my Hollyland Lark Max but with Deity w.lav Rode is just better when using it.
      I have a video on why not get get the Rode Wireless Me so you can see how much of a problem it actually can be.

      @@sparkestudio okay but what about wireless go 2 should I switch to that, variant one tx nd rx??

    • @sparkestudio
      @sparkestudio  Před 3 měsíci +1

      @@shashankpriyanshu9955 the wireless Go II is probably the best overall if you plan to use with wired lavaliers. The best overall for the price point, you will want to install Rode connect and firmware update it and set your settings. The nice part is you can purchase dual or single units. If you do not understand audio levels you probably won't like the GO II. Don't set too high as to clip your audio and if you learn how to align the internal recording and replace your camera audio you'll also be very thankful you go the GO II
      If you want clean sounding auto there are software methods to remove audio hiss. I have videos on the topic. 1 of those videos I show about 6 different methods with free and paid for software. Should be in my hot tips video play list which is almost exclusively video hacks and tips and tricks
