Very scarry, when these scammers got a free pass to roam the open space n doing their little crimes, even the police could not deter them from. Luke, you hv done well to stay clear of these violent people as nothing good would come out from it.
I got scammed in London, a group of people dressed in stupid costumes in front of a theatre and invited me to take a photo with them, I thought they are staff from the theatre, but then they asked for money. I gave them £2 and they asked me for more. fxxk off who do they think they are? Their face don’t value a penny, so I ignored them and just walked away. Be careful people
We get scammed £5 when you just spend 1 minute to drop people off at the airport in the UK. Then, I scammed £12.50 for driving into that area. I also got scammed £30 for driving through some mountains to get to the other side in the state in the US.
If anything bad happens in China, DO call the police. Police officers in China always pay more attention to cases involving foreigners to avoid media pressure. They are not violent at all.
I'm old enough to visit China from 30 years ago and can assure you scams targeting tourists were quite a lot around tourist spots too. There were organized crimes of different sorts too, and there were tv series showcasing how those gangs operated, and how the police from different cities joined force to tackle them. Now most of these are gone. I'd say there are several major factors to achieve this in the past 20 years. 1. Economically you don't have so many poor people now who don't have better things to do to make a living. 2. Socially everyone has mandatory education and become literate. 3. Technology has improved a lot for police to control crime with much effectiveness. 4. Local government has the finance to make things better for everyone, and work with central government to remove corruption which may help the gangsters. 5. The resulting harmony encourages everyone to support the government effort and keep this up.
I once got scammed by a white guy at the gate of the church above piazza di spagna, he pulled out a roll of red thread and started tie up a bracelet on my wrist white making small talks. I'd thought he was just being friendly and kind (how naive was I) until he asked for 10 euros. I told him I can only give him 2 euros and he shrugged and accepted. I quickly walked away before he regretted.... and about 30 mins later I almost got robbed by 2 kids in the metro station.....
Not worth doing a video over this. Stay safe. When stranger approach you, more than likely they are scammer. Just walk away and pretend you dont speak the language. I cant belive the undercover cop didnt do anything.
Are you mad! To go into an anonymous building and continue to talk to that woman. At least you was not punched like in Italy. Been to Rome twice, ten years inbetween, went last summer, I would rather go to another city like Florence.😮
The point he's trying to make is that in some countries you can seek help and help is forthcoming. And in others, you get to swallow your own foolishness.

Criminals don’t like camera CCTV

Quite a scare.
