Oh HEAVENS you're missing a ton of skills for the hunting horn, do try and dig them out and find those skills because there is an attack+crit up. Plus I may of been blind but there also is a vampire skill called bloodstrike. Party healing that works wonders

I've been having a blast with Dreadqueen Rathian as my lead and rocking max Lv. Deathprize and Teostra's emblem, with Dreadqeen armor and a Hounding XL talisman for double massive damage buffs against status'd enemies 💣
I think the deviljho bow is my favourite weapon in the game, I just love the design it looks so cool
Stygian hh is my favorite weapon in the whole game. It's super powerful and its a glowing black and red guitar
Gunlance is basically full kinship every round once you get going, no amount of weapon dmg can beat always having 2-3 monsties with fll kinship in store, I rarely use anything else anymore lol
What gunlance are you using?
Well the crits with the GS are going insane.
My highest hit till now was 1930.
Can you give me a recommendation on what Gunlance you use to get full kinship every turn? I feel like it would help farming some Deviants in the long run.
@@viruschris3160 its more skills like hth L or xl and kinship L/XL get full kinship in 2 turns usually

I miss how stories 1 had skills on there weapons. I think they need to bring that back.

@@nexiledflare5070 does it really count as skills when it's part of the weapons kit? Greatsword and Gunlance are the only ones that don't get "Skills"
Eh not really, I'll pass on skills like "Do more damage to fanged beasts". Too situational to care about.
Loving the chrome razor. Looks nice and has noxious poison innate. One of the best great swords imho
It also helps that it has non elemental for that synergy
In MHS1 Chrome Razor was definitely one of the better Greatswords in that game. Meanwhile in here it's definitely still a solid option but it's now got competition in the Noxious Poison with the Dreadqueen Weapons.
I'm a Plesioth SnS + Dreadqueen armor using rat, the sleep procs have carried me through some tough battles
hey Arekkz! appreciate the video but you haven't unlocked some key weapons later in the game and some key skills related to HH yet =)
Main three weapons I use personally. Hammer, Greatsword, and Bow
Man gunlance is so good I ran gunlance, sword and board, and he for my playthrough
Velkanas Hunting Horn also has evasion riff (when you unlock it) which is a turn long absolute evasion for your entire team
All the HH styles have this "ultimate" song. Healing style has Evasion Riff, Defense/Support style has Awakening, Offense style has Bloodsuck, and the Purifying style has Negate Ailments
Teddy Bear is a nice weapon ~ Induce sleep and make squishy sound when atk :3
yo arekkz did u not do the evasion riff side quest? i think velkhana's weapon has that right
The valkhelm s&s is great IMO
Game mode idea, team locke, you can only use weapons and equipment of the monsties in your team
You should take a look at the Ruby Basarios Hunting Horn. Looks amazing and sounds amazing too. ;)
Just wondering how blastblight proc works (for sns). It says 12% chance but does that mean each hit with it has a 12% chance to proc? Cos sns skills hit like 5 6 times. Does that mean each of those 5 6 hits have 12% chance to proc blastblight? O.o
you need to do the side quests for HH, you dont have bloodsuck and evasion riff
Evasion riff made me worship HH in some fights.

I thought non-elemental was weak in this game. Are the Grimclaw/Bloodbath weapons really that good here?

For sword and shield inflicting abnormal statuses with a rapid slash, does every single hit have a chance to inflict said status?
I also have been wondering this. My gut says no but I would like confirmation. It definitely doesn't feel like it does.
I dont think so? Because with critical hits, if you get one crit every individual attack that turn is a critical hit.

I've mainly been using Gunlance
My favorite weapon is the Eternal Hate SnS, it looks amazing and hits like a truck
That SnS was my go-to weapon in MHS1 for the longest time until I got the Fatalis SnS. I'm going out of my way to getting Eternal Hate again in MHS2.
@@97dusk one bit of advice: don't bother with the Eternal Strife from the Melinx, you can't upgrade it to the Eternal Hate
The Stygian Tristitia looks like a Guitar or um I'm the only one seeing it as that

Riders, I need help... I got a monstie with Ice Boost M and Ice Boost L genes, do they stack? I'm only in the 3rd town...
Yes. They stack
Sorry to say they don’t stack, in this game they take the highest skill only, so if you had ice boost s, ice boost m and ice boost large, the game will use the highest boost only so the other two are waisted

Wont be able to until a future update. You could try repeating it, but I'm not sure if it works.

Once you do the Elder Dragon quests for Lilia, you can start doing online Co-Op missions for Nergigante.

Does anyone have any weapon recommendations for early game? I just arrived in Rutoh village and my weapons are quickly becoming obsolete. I typically use Sword&Shield, Hunting horn, and the Gunlance. Currently, I only have 2 options for the gunlance but I'm willing to switch to the bow if necessary.
Upgrade your weapons or hunt the new monsters in de area, like azuros or jaggi and make their weapons
Is horn or hammer best for elemental?
Some hammers have a skill that does more damage to enemies with a status on them.

I really enjoy the fatalis hunting horn but obviously its blurred due to its endgame
isnt raw and elem damage 1:1 in this game though so non elem is just good middle of the road damage that doesnt get a benefit or resistance too?
so no weapon type has an edge unlike the main games

What’s your favorite weapon class
Normally I would go switch axe but since switch axe obviously isn't in the game I found a new appreciation for gunlance
I like all of them, but I've mostly been using greatsword for my slashing, horn for my blunt, and swapping between bow and gunlance for my pierce.
